Sad Lovers & Giants forrmou-se em 1981 em Watford (inglaterra), originalmente rotulado como banda pós-punk, mescla em sua sonoridade teclados atmosféricos e psicodelia. Com nuances melancólicas, flertaram com o movimento Cold-Wave que surgia paralelamente, amplificando assim a já contundende explosão criativa da época. 
Som profundo, as lirycs sensibilizavam com a situação social e o status-quo na década perdida, e continua a ser uma boa chance de reflexão para a anestesiada geração atual.
