A Sol Mechanic’s newest EP “just pick me up” solidifies his evolution from beatmaker to producer-vocalist as he ties together blissed-out productions with achingly soulful vocals. David Blazer, the man behind A Sol Mechanic, has garnered a formidable reputation on Soundcloud for his west-coast inspired beats that are as emotionally charged as they are hard-hitting. Featuring a collaboration with label-mate Novelty Daughter,  the “just pick me up” EP is a sign of the sun-drenched sounds to come from the prolific A Sol Mechanic.

The new single from Faith Harding, aka Novelty Daughter, offers a glimpse into her disparate inspirations as she pairs her roots as a jazz vocalist with newer ventures in beat-making and production. Fresh off of a collaboration with label-mate A Sol Mechanic on his recent "just pick me up" EP, this new offering from Novelty Daughter shows off her growth as a producer and her ability to lyrically turn herself inside-out. Harding recently moved to Brooklyn where she is writing and recording her first full length, physical LP (slated for release on Stereocure in Spring 2015) and playing a consistent stream of live shows.

A far cry from the shoegazing rock of 'Shhh!!!!' & its companion EP 'Oooze', 'Lead Me to the Glow' explores softer & rounder shapes, diving into mid 80s/early 90s vaporwave-esque aesthetics utilizing muzak samples, mixed with some 70s psych & yacht pop-rock influences that are glitched out & melted down like a burnt cassette in the sun.
