Gavin O'Sullivan is an Irish producer/DJ better known in the Electro community as @Breakdata - He has been producing music since 2017 though he did grow up frequenting Dublin clubs as a lad. He draws on influences that range from Electro and Techno to Rock and even Metal. He operates a weekly radio show on Dublin radio's Power FM on Tuesdays at 23:00 where he plays a wide variety of music. This mix created for @DarkScienceElectro is unified to take you on a pure Electro voyage. Play it loud.

Mike Griffin is a native from South Florida with his teenage roots from Rock and Metal and then shifted into the electronic music industry in the mid-1990s, first producing and subsequently mixing. He's played many parties and clubs in the South Florida area, making electronic music under the aliases Energy N°13 and InerVation, and now owns the EC Underground record label, retail catalog shop, and holds a monthly residency at Propaganda. Whether its Electro, Techno, Breaks, Nu Skool, IDM or Electronica, he always tries to span to most of these genres to keep it interesting.

Meaux was born and raised in the home of that bass sound, Miami-Dade County. An audiophile extraordinaire, her love for music is a deep, roaring fire that blazes through everything she touches. Since 2010, she's been the guiding force behind the scenes, championing underground artists, shaping creative design brands, and amplifying the resonance of record labels. As a music journalist with her pieces featured on revered platforms like Strictly Nu-Skool and dnbuniverse.com, she's a storyteller of the underground, perpetually spotlighting talents from every corner of the globe.

In 2017, Meaux bought her first pair of Technics, on which she practiced her beat-matching skills daily, landing her first live vinyl gig in Miami toward the end of 2020.

2021 saw her commandeering the radio waves at WECU, with monthly live shows where she hosted guest mixes from eclectic multi-genre artists, delivering beats live from the studio alongside a roster of resident DJs that added their distinct flavors to the channel.

Known for her keen ear when it comes to the sounds of Jungle/Drum & Bass, Meaux isn't confined by boundaries. Her mastery extends across a tapestry of genres—IDM, electro, breaks, techno, deep house, and a constellation of others.

Meaux is an esteemed member of the Geishaz, a revered collective of women DJs renowned for their talent and dedication to uplifting and empowering women in the music industry. This extraordinary assembly showcases a diverse range of music styles, putting on captivating events that have become a staple in the local scene. Through their work, the Geishaz have created a vibrant community that fosters collaboration, celebrates female creativity, and encourages women to pursue their musical dreams with confidence. Vitaly Reznakov is an electronic music artist based in Essex in the UK. A collector of Hip Hop and Electro records from a very early age, he started producing his own music in 1990 with several vinyl releases under various aliases from 1991 until the early 2000's when circumstances lead to a move away from music and into a different artistic career for several years. After rediscovering his passion for making music he has ventured back into the electro scene, so far releasing an 8 track ep on Bandcamp and two releases on Amper Clap's Urban Connections netlabel with more music coming soon.

Which artists has influenced you the most? 

- As a kid in the early 80's I remember listening to Afrika Bambaataa, Twilight 22, Newcleus etc and thinking I want to make music like that one day... when I started producing with an Atari 1040 set up in the early 90's I was listening to Model 500, How and Little, Underground Resistance, Joey Beltram.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 

- I have an ep “Polykube” to be released on Diffuse Reality later this year, and an ep I'm just finishing for another label that I can't disclose details of just yet.

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now? 

- Too many artists to name, my mix should give a good indication of what I'm into... the same goes for labels, but I would say at the moment Cultivated Electronics, Mechatronica, Urban Connections are pretty solid.

What inspires you now to create music? 

- Dystopian sci-fi/horror movies and comics had a big impact on me when I was growing up and are always an inspiration for the feel of a track, but I'm not sure what inspires me on a personal level... I have ideas all the time so I guess just the ability to let other people hear what's going on inside my head is a good feeling.

What set-up do you use when creating music?

- Laptop with Reason 12 and a load of VST plugins... I'm old school so I like the fact I can flip the rack and visually patch instruments and effects together. I still have some original analogue synths (Roland Jupiter 6, Sequential Circuits Pro One) they are not midi'd up, but I sample from them now and then.

Strange But Dance Music #163: Vitaly Reznakov

Ray Sedney aka Ray La Soul. For years Ray played electronic music like house, techno drum n bass and more.  During the Covid19 pandemic something has changed. By mere coincidence he rediscovered his love for electro, the music that played a huge part in his youth. This style takes him back to his B-boying days ages ago. Ray still has the records he bought back in those days, records he cherishes. 
So nowadays Ray, aka Ray La Soull, not only mixes his weekly radio show Space Is The Place, he also creates electro tunes under his alias Qamar Sol. 
In case you are wondering what the name Qamar Sol stands for, it means Moon (Arabic) and Sun (Spanish), both celestial bodies that are very dear to him.
