Somewhere in the early 2000s armed with a drum loop CD, my baby grand piano and a Yamaha keyboard I set out to record a Christmas album of lesser known Christian carols and songs to bless my congregation. The idea was to choose a drum loop for each song and let the feel of the loop inspire the arrangement. In many cases I composed new chorus or bridge sections to give the songs a more modern form. The result was a project titled, "God is with Us"which was recorded in my living room using a Roland VS1680 digital workstation. As I recently revisited the project and cleaned it up a bit, I thought it might be fun to share it here.
