Born and raised in New Orleans. From the age of 5 I fell in love with everything that had to do with music. From making music videos to Michael Jackson songs, learning the lyrics to soulful music from artist like the Isley Brothers, AL Green, Stevie Wonder and others. By the age of 7 I picked up the trumpet to begin my own music path. Several years down the line I wanted to try my hand at percussion where I fell in love with the tenor drum. Soon after graduating from high school. I realized my passion for music had sent me in a different direction to start teaching music to young students at my alma mater High School (Edna Karr High School). After 5 years of teaching Hurricane Katerina came and ripped my city apart. I had to find a new way to express my musical passion. My little brother (Exotictonez) was already producing beats and starting a recording studio and suggested to me to write a verse to a song he was working on. Soon after I found out that I had found something to fill the void in my life that was made from not teaching anymore. This is when Raymond Richards Jr. became Ray Rich.
