Mozart: Requiem K.626 No.6 Lacrinoso

The Funeral March of a Marionette (Marche funèbre d'une marionnette) is a short piece by Charles Gounod. It was written in 1872 for solo piano and orchestrated in 1879. It is perhaps best known as the theme music for the television program Alfred Hitchcock Presents, which originally aired from 1955 to 1965.

Mozart: Eine Klein Nachtmusik IV Rondo - wind quintet

I have arranged the Theme and Variation VI of BRAHMS "Theme and Variations on a Theme by Haydn (St. Anthony Chorale)" for horn quartet.

The theme is well known and needs no further comment.

Variation VI is the one that horn players love to play in the original orchestral composition.

It's the big moment!! 

Originally scored for Hn 1/2 in Bb basso, Hn 3 in F and Hn 4 in Eb, I have arranged it for 4 hns in F.

The original parts are mostly there...

Quite short, about 1 min 30...great fun to play.

Mozart: Serenade No.13 in G "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" K.525 Mvt.II Romance - wind quintet.

Kleiner Trauermarsch ("Little Funeral March") in C minor, K. 453a is a keyboard work composed in 1784 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, written in the notebook of his student Barbara Ployer.

The piece is also sub titled Marche funebre del Sigr Maestro Contrappunto ("Funeral March for Mr. Master/Maestro Counterpoint"). It was dedicated to Barbara Ployer.

It was first published in 1930. The autograph was thought to have been lost in 1945.

Mozart was Ployer's teacher, so the sub title would seem to be another "musical joke" about himself.

Gymnopédie No.1 

An arrangement for wind quintet of Erik Satie's most popular piece of music.

My arrangement differs from other arrangements, in that the melody is given to every player, the bass line moves between bassoon, horn and clarinet, and the five members of the quintet do not play together all of the time.

This, I feel, gives a bit of variation, and interest to the players!!

Ideal for that quiet reflective wedding moment.

Satie: Gymnopédie No 1 - wind quintet

Arranged wind dectet(double wind quintet)/bass

"Parade" is a ballet with music by Erik Satie and a one-act scenario by Jean Cocteau.

The ballet was composed 1916–1917 for Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes. The ballet premiered on Friday, May 18, 1917 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, with costumes and sets designed by Pablo Picasso, choreography by Léonide Massine (who danced), and the orchestra conducted by Ernest Ansermet. 

This movement " Ragtime" also known as Rag-Time du Paquebot (Ragtime of the Packet Steamer/Steampacket) would later be adapted for piano solo, and attained considerable success as a separate piano piece.

It fits the wind dectet well, and should be played lightly.

"10 Popular Christmas Carols" for horn quartet

Unfortunately they are not in the same keys as the UK's hymn books "Songs of Praise" and "The Oxford Book of Carols" so you are unable to play along with organ/piano. 
However they have been transposed to place them in a more comfortable range for a horn player.
