Soul Clap’s Charlie aka Charlie Soul Clap preps his UTM debut with an all out edit dream for Roy Davis Jr.’s elusive label.

For fans of Soul Clap and Roy Davis Jr. alike, the second release since Undaground Therapy Muzik’s relaunch will feel at home in their library. The new EP by Charlie Soul Clap comes in the form of a rhythm focused 4 track take — comprised of 2 A’s with 2 B’s that take a deeper focus on the first track on the release – Virgo’s Victory. The world has been closed for long enough, so Charlie and Roy felt it was time to refashion living rooms as dance floors and introduce something you could have a gentle afternoon or late night boogie too. The EP cements Charlie’s solo works as a clear ode to disco and classic house music.

The EP is being released on the 21st May worldwide. For everyone to enjoy. There may be a vinyl press when the record shops are open around the world again, but for now – this will be homed on all your favourite streaming sites, and of course, the UTM Bandcamp.

Charlie stands with two feet firmly planted on top of a mountain named Soul Clap and yet he points further into the sky with a look of mischievous excitement. Somewhere, deep on the horizon, the mystery of his musical journey will unfold. Charlie is devoted to following in the footsteps of those who have paved the way before him and continues to churn out thematic dance music that is routed in tradition but is eclectic, unexpected and contemporary edging into the future. Intr0beatz, a turntablist at heart, started off as the beat producer for Icelandic hip-hop group Forgotten Lores in the late '90s. As time passed by, he transitioned from his early hip-hop roots to explore a fusion of chill-out, deep house, funk, and hip-hop in his 2011 release, "Half Time" on Möller Records. This marked a significant shift in his production style, leading him to delve further into house music, drawing inspiration from the jazz, funk, and soul elements that influenced the golden age of hip-hop.

Yann Polewka is the man in charge of the GLBDOM label's fifth outing and a fine one it is too. He brings plenty of timeless house vibes to the opener 'Keep On' with its Kerri Chandler style bumping kicks and feel-good piano chords next to subtle vocal chops packed with soul. 'Oblivion' is another upbeat, uplifting house cut with a classic underbelly and rich chords to get those hands in the air. 'The Light' once again layers up well-crafted chords, irresistible drum funk and nice analogue percussion. Last of all, Jesse Bru's Sea Of Change remix of the same tune brings a more deep and late night feel to close out a top EP.

Claudio Crispo instigates the launch of his new label Everybody In with an EP of low slung House music that has inspiration and vibes from many different backgrounds. This EP is a journey through Claudio's various inspirations bringing together the vocal talents of Londoner Jordan James for the title track "Lost in Time". This track is in a time-honoured format of classic analogue rhythm paired with soulful vocals and a finesse to the synthwork which transport you to a better place.
 
Label namesake "Everybody in" strikes a different somewhat melodic mood. Simple Piano work juxtaposes clever breakbeat drums. A truly different sounding record.
 
"Lights on" brings vocals from French rapper Jeune Slow deftly into a dreamy beatscape with a chunky rhythm and intricate production work. House music to its core with the central message that you should never give up on your dreams. 
 
Inspired by the early 90's Trance scene "Sunnyhill" is a blissed out trip that begs for sunshine and sunset parties. Characterized by an "instantly recognizable" synth riff this track shows the variety on show with this record.
 
Closing out the EP "Telescope" features real orbital sounds, cut finely with an almost Lo-Fi production aesthetic with a broken beat backbone and an electro edge. Fantastic - a truly unique EP.
