Adham Zahran isn’t just another name in house music, he’s one of those producers who seems born to it. Hailing from Egypt and growing up in Alexandria, young Adham began his musical journey listening to lots of minimal and house before learning production and music theory. His sound is steeped in an affection for house in all its shades and his musical influences resonate mainly from the Detroit culture and sound. Artists like Kyle Hall, Theo Parrish and Marcellus Pittman.

Barefoot Beats 05 Side A - Barefoot Boogie - JKriv [Snippet]

Ian Finkelstein is a jazz pianist and producer. He has been an active member of the Detroit jazz community since the age of 14. A student of Geri Allen, he performed with Marcus Belgrave from 2010 until Belgrave's death in 2015. He currently performs with the Robert Hurst Quintet, and is a founding member of Detroit music collective Video7.

Ian self-released his first album of house music It’s Time in 2016. His keyboard work can be heard on tracks by Scott Grooves, Omar-S and Shigeto among others. He is a regular member of Scott Grooves’ Overdubs.

The Middle Birth EP highlights Ian’s dual talents as a producer and instrumentalist. Side A features two electronic cuts, “Middle Birth” and “Mort Crim” with Ian playing live drums and bass on the latter.  SIDE B showcases Ian’s jazz quartet; he is joined by several of Detroit’s most talented young musicians: Marcus Elliot on sax, Ben Rolston on bass and Alex White on drums.

Brooklyn’s @sonofsound joins hometown label Razor-N-Tape with The Dusty Files EP, a 4-tracker that embodies the gritty and driving sound of the borough. The A-side kicks off with Your Voodo’s Broken, a track that builds to mid-tempo looped perfection even before the floor-shaking bass drops, followed by the beguiling synth patterns and efficient yet driving drums of No Bullets Left. On the flip side, Nude Jerzee eschews the bridges and tunnels and takes us straight to NJ by way of outer space, and then What Do You Feel floats us gently back to earth on a cloud of strings, electric pianos and a chugging disco beat.
