Estimulo’s sets always provide a full deep listening experience as well as a few undiscovered gems along the way. This mix recorded live at our last Alles Paletti party does all of it and at the same time perfectly captures the incredible freedom spirit and positive energy of the party, where we couldn’t have hoped for a better crowd of dancers.
 
 We feel that Estimulo’s style perfectly captures the ethos of RBL Berlin - this set recorded at the sunset hours at our first party in months being the living proof of what we mean. Re-listening puts a smile on our faces and just leaves us craving for more of this medicine as soon as possible.

Toke Ekelund’s Bio:
Residing in Copenhagen and having been DJ'ing professionally for more than 12 years, Toke is a passionate and driving force of the Copenhagen club scene. Besides dj'ing Toke is also a producer who has had his fingers on collaborative white label projects as well as independent releases. He has released under his legal name on the label DISR but is mainly focused on his dj project Ryan Dank which is all about organic and sample based funk- deep- and disco house music.

Having held residencies at the best clubs in Copenhagen like the infamous, now closed, Dunkel, Jolene bar and Culturebox, as well as having played overseas in various european cities, Toke has been around the block. This journey has led him to play alongside some of the worlds most renowned dj's, including names like Hunee, Leon Vynehall, Move D, Cinthie, The Revenge, Black Loops and more.

He has a strong vision and attitude towards music, which is his gateway to mediate energy from behind the booth. He seeks to create a common ground through his music and lives for the special bonds that are created on a dance floor between the artist and the audience.

Toke is also behind the former Danish DJ-collective Lovestomp, and is now a part of the record label BGM8S Collective which seeks to serve this purpose by hosting various electronic music events in and around Copenhagen.

In this episode I was able to welcome the guys behind a wicked little deep house label called Ordinaire Records, based out of Strasbourg in France. Rony, Alex and Thomas have been putting on parties in their area and have their third vinyl release baking in the oven right now. I’ve played both their previous releases on my past shows so it’s been a pleasure to have them on to lay down 90 mins of their signature sound. Listening back to their mix brought out a lot of nostalgia for me as they touch on some of the sounds I was really into (and still am!) during my formative years in the early 2000s, with records from Inland Knights, JT Donaldson, EBE and more. Pour ce 5ème mix de la série, notre nouvel invité, DJ Psychiatre, prend le parti de défricher la période 1988-1992. Une fine sélection de disques proposé dans un mix qui balaye de nombreux sous-genres, le tout subtilement exécuté. Quelques mots de l'invité :

"What I particularly appreciate about electronic music is the blend of genres and eras. There will always be a trend, whether in terms of tempo, sub-genre, or sound, with some artists seeking to be on trend, others wanting an old-school sound, others sounding very avant-garde, and others mixing influences.

As a collector and someone interested in mixing, it's a real pleasure to be able to compose a homogeneous mix from tracks that are thirty years apart. For this mix, I wanted to go back to basics and set myself the limit of using tracks only from the period 1988-1992. It's an important period that corresponds to the international democratization of a genre which, barely arrived, is already diversifying massively (Acid House, Garage House, Ambient House).

Recorded live and 100% vinyl, I hope you enjoy it."
