Out of all the moral failings that have come to light over the past several years, R.C. Jr's probably hit me the hardest. I have also prayed for him/you and hoped that you would show yourself to be a child of the King. And you have. Thank you so much for your transparency and your courage in addressing your sin in public, to the benefit of the church global.

R.C. Sproul Jr's spectacular moral failures trouble me greatly, but of even greater concern is how eager he is to minimize it all and even outright lie about what he did (his Ashley Madison scandal being just one example) and rationalize his staying in ministry. The interviewer speaks of "doing some sad and hurtful things that I thought I never would have done. I ended up stepping down from my job because I thought it was the right thing to do. It was living out repentance." Sproul should follow such a fine example.

If you feel like you can’t afford to be hospitable, it may be that your conception of what hospitality is needs some adjustment. Nancy shows us that hospitality starts with a heart attitude, not lots of dollars.
