Here is another song created by Gary Franklin (Sweden) on guitars/bass, Dan VanSchindel (Chicago) on Drums, and myself on Keys - we call our progressive rock, collaboration group - "TransPonder". 

This song was inspired by a review that someone had left on a previous song - indicating that it was reminiscent of the band Dream Theater. That high compliment caused us to get to work on something specifically in that vein. As we planned this one, we thought we would try a harmonic solo with guitar and synth toward the middle. 

We call it D-Sequence.

D-Sequence

Many of us love movies and stories of Knights of the Roundtable, Sir Lancelot and King Arthur. Were they real or just folklore? Well - no matter what, that time period was real and kings and ladies and lords and knights all led magical and mystical lives. 

This song is a journey back to that era. It should conjure up visions of Knights seated at the round table; at festive occasions with all the gallantry of the day, and riding over open plains on horseback in full regalia.

Hi everyone - another TransPonder tune here. TransPonder is an international collaboration with Gary Franklin (Sweden) on guitars/bass; Dan VanSchindel (Chicago) on Drums and myself (Florida) on keys. This time around my buddy Derek Cameron (New Jersey) wrote the words and sang all vocals. 

Down The Tubes

Springtime is a new awakening.  It is my favorite season in Florida, where I live. I was inspired to compose this after watching some baby birds hatch in a nest on my property.
 
As it opens, picture yourself on a meadow with woods on the edge.  The sun is just rising, the dew is on the grass, and nature is coming awake. Deer come out of the forest to graze, rabbits and squirrels are already busy at gathering and taking care of their families.  Flowers are in bloom, and the breeze blows across all in a concert of sound.  Close your eyes.  Have a listen.

 This was a difficult time in my life, and the music was therapeutic.Those of you that have lost a parent or close relative should be able to relate.

They say you can't play the blues unless you have suffered. My Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He is in the hospital now. Many of you know the wave of emotions that come with this situation. I had to express my emotions somehow. I sat down and played. This is what came out. I dedicate to my Dad, Sam Caruana. I will be visiting him soon and will bring this song to him. I hope that it somehow represents how much I love him! That is a picture of Dad at my grand piano.
