Realised after I did "Shape of my Heart" that the chords are more or less the same for this Paul Simon classic.  But where was I going to get the all-important drums?  So I've been playing about in Samplitude stringing together some little bitts of drum samples to get the almost desried effect.

Another one of those I learned an age ago.  Pulp had some amazing songs, many of which are just impossible to even attempt.  This is one of only 3 of their numbers that I would even try to have a go at.

Tainted Love

Been teaching myself the guitar since getting my first instrument as a present at Christmas '08. 

Still feeling my way around the basics. Still enjoying the learning experience and being able to accompany myself on songs in keys that suit my voice.

And so this page was launched to chart my faltering progress with the guitar.

I "upgraded" to an electric guitar at Christmas 2009 - which is soooo much easier to play, and just continuing to practice and learn.

One of these days I may get myself a proper lesson - until then, I'll just use Youtube and Ultimate-Guitar and whatever else to pick it up as I go along.

Please feel free to comment - obviously my playing has been improving, so you don't need to tell me that some of the earlier songs are rubbish!! 

All cover-versions at the moment, but who knows . . .
