I've decided to start uploading some of my little prototype songs; they're just short little snippets I write all the time that aren't quite songs yet. I was going for something that kinda went from power ballad into a more dance-like track, but since dance music isn't my forté, that's where I ended up stopping. Who knows, maybe I'll come back to this one some day... it's rather pleasant!

01 - Prelude

Here it is, a demo of my latest project!
I finally decided that writing game music is my strong suit and have embraced it fully. While there is no game attached to this music, I've been writing it as if there was.
There are a total of four tracks so far, and this demo runs through a single loop of each one. They are:
Track 1 - Main Theme
Track 2 - Gameplay 1
Track 3 - Gameplay 2
Track 4 - Boss Theme

What you'll hear is a combination of sounds from the NES, Sega Master System, Atari 2600, along with various other samples I've collected over the years, some going back to the dawn of the tracker scene in the late 80s and early 90s. Of course it's grandiose and would be far too overbearing to actually function as game music, but hey, that's me!
This was created entirely with ModPlug Tracker and a few VST effects to sweeten the sound, then run through an online AI mastering service called LANDR since I absolutely suck at mastering and EQing.

This song is a little special in that it was finished in one sitting in only 5 hours. I've had time to listen to it over and over since writing it and can see room for improvement, and I hope to include a better version of it in my album, Megabit, once it's released.

The world is filled with so many angry and selfish people, but in their midst lie the unspoken heroes, the ones who rise above the ugliness in the world striving to make it a better place. They may go unnoticed, but they are the ones who save us all from falling into despair.

I compose all of my music in Impulse Tracker format using ModPlug tracker in my vain attempt to help keep the tracker format alive and kicking. I also tried some new mastering techniques to clean up the audio a bit. Keep an eye out for my new album, "Megabit", coming some time in 2013!

Here's my first finished remix in years! As a kid, I used to love listening to the boss theme from Mario 2... I'd just sit there and hum along with my own little melodies. Well, after briefly playing some Mario 2 just now, I decided why not take some of that childhood humming and turn it into something? Nintendo fans will hopefully love it, and even if you're not a gamer, it's a pretty sexy little song. Enjoy!
