We open the first release of obsidian by Kairo with “Bisou”, the alien dance. This track features bouncy subs and microwave operators, laden with granular synth textures. “In The Beyond” is a vampiric tapestry moving between purring bass lines within an echoing chamber. The erratic percussion and chaotic delays take the listener on a psycho-sonic journey into the outer realms.
The third track “Loto” represents the home of obsidian. Metallic percussive delays mixed with an arpeggiating bass line into a backwards messaging. Loto delivers a heavy but subtle nightmare sound.
