The making of this EP, was part of a process where La Decadance searched to diversify their sound.

Colours is a tune they worked on, with a vision of taking their sound in a more positive, optimistic direction. They had been stuck in making very dark, slightly monotone tunes for a while, and this song was a catalyst for a new sort of creativity.

Once Colours was done, Tangerines was born out of the same wave of creativity. However, no matter how positive they try to sound they are still Scandinavians, and melancholy is forever tied to the music that comes out of their countries up north. But the new sound worked very well with Melancholy as well, and this tune came out of that process. Combining the old and the new.

Jeriko, is the Swedish spelling of Jericho, and the tune was inspired by a visit to this ancient visit on the Palestinian West Bank. Of all tunes of the EP, it is the tune that is most coherent with the traditional La Décadance sound.

Upon descent, it cries, flapping its wings to the rhythm of the recorded piano, until its flight levels: the sky-blue lake, reflecting the sunlight with thousands of glittering sparkles, lies beneath. Gliding just above the shimmering water, the hawk slows down before it passes the cliff, after which, with growing intensity, it continues to descend rapidly towards the valley…

The opening depicts the love you are giving, the second part the anger towards not getting recognized and the third and closing part showcases the serenity and motivation to keep going.

Due to the wide range of musical influences, re:deep creates a more melodious and organic style of house and electronica than may be typical. Unique tracks without using samples from other artists. Quality house music with depth and soul, this is the reason he selected „deep“ to become the heart of the name, although aware that his productions may not be strict „deep house“ as a category, but if house with depth isn’t „deep house“, then what is?

He has already started producing back in the year 2005 and released over 10 “soulful-vocal-house”  tracks and remixes, under a different alias, on renowned labels all around the globe. 

To avoid the influence of record labels, which often seek to push conformity, re:deep created the label „Vordergrundmusik“ to give him the freedom of producing whatever he likes and to generate a platform to enable the release of his own and befriended producers tracks exactly as they desire.
