"Ireen Amnes – ‘Faus Nova’ explores the continuum of protest, from outward rebellion, the impotence of feeling voiceless, to turning inward, breaking taboos and escaping the society that controls, that one could not control.

Ireen Amnes is a producer, DJ and founder of the London collective Under My Feet. Her hardware and DJ sets are moody and unpredictable, often exploring different mixtures of intensity. Ireen has releases on labels as diverse as Tales Collective, Metempsychosis Records, KOMBINAT, and is releasing her second EP on the Berlin-based label Instruments of Discipline. Ireen defines music as a liberation of emotions and expression of her state of mind. For this reason, every single composition represents a different journey driven by these motives, keeping a distinct sound without conforming to particular styles. Ireen has shared stages across Europe with Paula Temple, Vatican Shadow, SNTS, Tommy Four Seven, Ancient Methods, Thomas P Heckmann, Hiro Kone and Death in Vegas. Her track “My Mind is Broken” has also been featured on Vatican Shadow’s mix ‘Berghain 09’."

'Only The Stars Come Out At Night'

 

 

Vanity Productions is the intently brooding solo project of Posh Isolation co-founder Christian Stadsgaard. In distinction to his chaotic raving kru performances with The Empire Line, and the cathartic severity of Damien Dubrovnik with fellow label co-founder Loke Rahbek, Vanity Productions reserves space for Stadsgaard's innermost dialogues and vulnerabilities.

 

Where his previous album gave a highly personal yet cold report, this latest work indulges in a balmy pleasure that takes in the world around it with abandon. 'Only The Stars Come Out At Night' is presented as a reflection of life in the city during warm summer nights. Stargazing, ecstasy, early evening dreaming, chilled intoxication, languid lust—we're getting the fine detail of experiences that have left their anxieties behind. Nonetheless managing pensive moments, the granular shoegaze that Stadsgaard works up still certainly articulates a breed of melancholy. It's as if 'Only The Stars Come Out At Night' is leaning into a particular kind of heartbreak that isn't ever going to arrive in the night; it's the bittersweet arrival of dawn which signals the loss of night. This is cosmic heartbreak.

 

'Only The Stars Come Out At Night' is presented in multiple forms. There are three videos that contain the release as its soundtrack. Directed by Anastasia Sif Karkazis, these meditate on scenes of nature, industry and technology, and the architecture that traces the edge of each. A digital release on all platforms will be also be available as of today.

Announced today and due for release on July 5th, ’S.L.F.' sees exogenous pop alchemist Aïsha Devi expand on the experiments into metaphysics and rave music found in her acclaimed 2018 album ‘DNA Feelings.’ 

Defining a contemporary ritual practice through binaural, healing frequencies and club impact, she coalesces the sacred and the virtual, the subliminal and the cognitive in a syncretic vision.

Aïsha Devi - I’m Not Always Where My Body Is

Hamish Trevis AKA Kinlaw hails from the Bristolian underground. The same scene that, in recent years, has given the most vital contribution to the freshness and vitality of a fringe sound suspended between the many clashes, deconstructions and reconstructions of dub and UK club music, radicalized through a diffuse interest in noise-tinged punkish grit. It should come as no surprise, then, that Kinlaw’s own music sounds both menacing and playful, weighing in with relentless slow beats and cranky lo-fi textures. on “Drax”,—his first Haunter Records release and second part of the label’s limited 10” dubplate series—the always cavernous, hyper-saturated bass seem to engulf everything, sticking to every other sound like some nasty form of sonic mud. The hypnotic percussions and sparse, hazy bits of melody make for an overall atmosphere of industrialized narcosis. Franco Franco’s vocal intervention in the first track only adds to the dankness of it all, with its confused deadpan delivering a dose of true lowbrow nihilism in Italian.
