We continue our ‘Selects’ series and have hand picked three developing artists that have really impressed us with their work.

Hot off his last debut release with is earlier this year. Beatport chart topping Hoodyhoo kicks off this Selects with ‘Ethos’. Fusing melodic undertones, chanting vocals and intricate percussion. Ethos takes you on a creative journey that is bound to get the dance floor moving.
New comer Yahra has been making a solid impact with his DJ sets for our Re:Sound Music & Friends parties. Grabbing the attention of the Anjunadeep team earlier this year with his unreleased remix for Cri. We are happy to have him onboard for his debut release “Courant Number’.

Finishing of this Selects, we welcome another newcomer. Qatar based Deus Deserto has impressed us with his creativity and sound development. Working with vocalist ‘Abul’, ‘Amsy’ is a techno edged floor smash! Delivering on both the Vocal mix and a dub. ‘Amsy’ is a clever fusion of techno energy, glorious effects and melodies. A perfect finish to another solid selects EP.

We are so happy to be kicking off our 2023 release schedule with label boss Michael Hooker. 2022 was a momentous year for Michael on all musical fronts and this year he has no plans of slowing down!

When asking Michael what the idea was behind ‘Escape’, he had the following to tell us. “I wanted to make a dark sultry track that I can use for setting the mood in opening sets, or later in the night within extended parties. As I play both sides of a party, this allows me the option to drop ‘Escape’ at multiple points in a night.

At camp Re:Sound, we feel ‘Escape’ brings a fresh twist on the progressive house tracks that dominated the discerning dance floors. We hope you feel this too.

Hailing from Krakow (Poland), and currently living in Jaroslaw (Poland) Cream, also known as Krzysztof Kupczakiewicz, has been an avid fan of melody driven electronic music since a child.  We are pleased to welcome him to the Re:Sound Music family with his debut ep ‘Embrace’.

Label head Michael Hooker picks up the remix duties on the titled track, and adds his own twists and darkness to an already killer EP.

We could go on and on about the automation with the lead synths, rolling basslines and intricate details, But we feel the music does the talking, much better than we can!

As we head into the summer months, we are turning up the temperatures with our Re:Sound Music releases!

An act that has been on our radar for many years, and someone has been causing a storm with his releases and DJ sets at Bedrock. We are happy to welcome ‘Four Candles’ with his debut EP release ‘The Deal’. 

It’s not often in today's market of ‘sound the same’ music, that a track can traverse into multi genres, but ‘The Deal’ does a fine job of riding this line. It’s wonky bass, pulsing rhythms, and hypnotic melodies, groove around the layered pitched vocal. 

The remixes follow suit in creativity and uniqueness. Label head Michael Hooker gears towards a tribal drum heavy, effects ladened, hedonistic onslaught. 

Ambear, another name that we have been watching since his ep release on Renaissance's sub label Bau Haus, takes us down an indie disco twist with his remix of ‘The Deal’. The result is a peak time banger! Completely different to the other two mixes, we are pleased to have three very different takes of one track. 

We finish off the EP with ‘Psylowonder’. Reminiscent of the classic progressive house days. Four candles heads down a sophisticated path, which we see playing at day parties a plenty!

Kiz Pattison's music has garnered widespread recognition, with his previous releases featuring in many underground elite DJ sets. His ability to cross genres and create emotive soundscapes has earned him a dedicated fan base and accolades from industry tastemakers. 
The rework on last years "Come A Bit Closer" is an exploration of sonic landscapes, blending linear rhythms with Kiz Pattison's distinctive sonic tapestry. With his unmatched prowess in creating evocative electronic music, Kiz Pattison rework takes listeners on a very different trajectory to the original mix. 
San Diego based Placebo EFX brings their remix prowess to "Come A Bit Closer." Creating a version that amplifies the song's energy and takes it in new directions. 
We are very happy to provide two new versions to an already fantastic original.

'In the depths of darkness a warehouse comes alive' is the opening line from the twisted vocals that surge through the latest single from label boss Michael Hooker. With a vocal heavy tribal tinged version and a linear driving progressive house rework to choose from. 'Welcome To The Warehouse' is showcasing Michael's vision of embracing new technology to enhance his musical output. 'I have been fascinated with the development of AI technology over the past six months and wanted to see how I could use the emerging software and apps to generate vocals for a track. I started with a subject in Chat GPT around a warehouse rave and tweaked the lyrics into something I felt captured the essence I was going for. From here I took the lyrics into an AI voice generator and manipulated the voice into a circus like ringmaster, who is enticing people into the warehouse to party!

Anthony Pappa is a name that needs little introduction. From being awarded by DJ mag as a top 100 DJ, to touring the World countless times. We are very happy to welcome him to Re:Sound Music, alongside fellow Australian Jamie Stevens.

Jamie has been making waves across the industry with releases on labels such as Lost & Found, Selador, Balance, and many more! His productions have become a firm favorite for many of the leading DJ's, so it's a real pleasure to have him team up with Anthony on this remix and bring their signature sound.

Argentinian based Damian Russo landed onto our radar in 2023 when he sent us some outstanding demos. His mixture of dub techno grooves and wonky house elements blend together across his debut two track EP ‘Undefeated’. 

Sharing the EP title name, we kick off with ‘Undefeated’ and instantly head down a groove laidended journey that works at either end of the dance floor spectrum. 

‘Holding To Myself’ serves up another chunk of dub goodness that we feel slots into a plethora of dj sets.

Sean’s left of center approach to house music is what caught our attention when we received Dub State and Off Course in our inbox. With an edge of moodiness across both tracks, ‘Dub State’ captures you with the soaring detuned synths, quirky percussive elements, and club forward focus. While ‘Off Course’ heads down a linear route of atmospherics and minimal percussion.
