When a mini tour happened with D-Nox and Re:Sound Music label head Michael Hooker, the two artists grabbed the opportunity to jump into the studio together and create ‘Upon Us’. The fusion of their two sounds is apparent, as ‘Upon Us’ takes you down a linear, dark, driving route.

We welcome Stan Kolev to Re:Sound Music, with an outstanding remix! With his trademark sound, Stan delivers a peak time smash that is bound to send the dancefloor into a frenzy.

Rounding off the release we welcome San Francisco duo Emanate. Sticking with the progressive route, they also keep a dark vibe and extend the journey, to complete a phenomenal release package.'

We are very happy to have label boss Michael Hooker back on Re:Sound Music for a two track EP titled ‘Matiere Noire’

The EP showcases two different directions in Michael’s musical stylings. We start things off with ‘The Pleasures We Do Not Know’. Balancing the mixture of melody, drive and creativity, while trying to remain unique and fresh in today's market can be a hard task. ‘The Pleasures We Do Not Know’ manages to tick all these boxes.

As we switch over to ‘Welcome Back To Funk Town’ you instantly notice the difference in direction and vibe. The hypnotic natural bassline and percussion drive the track along. The addition of adhoc vocal elements and a haunting rhodes melody add to the simplistic feel, yet detailed craftsmanship of ‘Welcome Back To Funky Town’.

It's fair to say that Michael’s music has reached far and wide over the past twelve months. He is fast rising the ranks of the decernicing producer / DJ. If you think 2021 was a journey, then get strapped in for 2022!

We are so happy to be kicking off our 2023 release schedule with label boss Michael Hooker. 2022 was a momentous year for Michael on all musical fronts and this year he has no plans of slowing down!

When asking Michael what the idea was behind ‘Escape’, he had the following to tell us. “I wanted to make a dark sultry track that I can use for setting the mood in opening sets, or later in the night within extended parties. As I play both sides of a party, this allows me the option to drop ‘Escape’ at multiple points in a night.

At camp Re:Sound, we feel ‘Escape’ brings a fresh twist on the progressive house tracks that dominated the discerning dance floors. We hope you feel this too.

Argentinian based Damian Russo landed onto our radar in 2023 when he sent us some outstanding demos. His mixture of dub techno grooves and wonky house elements blend together across his debut two track EP ‘Undefeated’. 

Sharing the EP title name, we kick off with ‘Undefeated’ and instantly head down a groove laidended journey that works at either end of the dance floor spectrum. 

‘Holding To Myself’ serves up another chunk of dub goodness that we feel slots into a plethora of dj sets.
