Ad Astra, (Towards the stars in Latin) has been passionate about electronic music for many years. He discovered the techno scene when he was living in London and found his way into hypnotic, cold and mental techno.

He is in constant search of raw and bewitching sounds, with a varied musical selection. 

Ad Astra is a member of the Harbor Concept agency and resident DJ at La Monarch. He also has several releases on labels such as Sindex, Blockchain Records, Coup or Dancefloor Impact Research and more recently on his agency’s record Harbor Concept. Now he is participating Scourge's first VA with a raw banger!

He had the opportunity to share the decks with a lot of major names of the scene for his collective Monarch, and it seems he will share much more!

Eva Swan announces ‘RED’, continuing a strong run of heavy-duty self-released singles.

The release marks the eighth installment on Eva’s own imprint, which has been earning support from DJs such as Slam, False Witness, Luke Slater, and Machine Woman, Eva cements herself as a key player with this release, further honing her signature sound.

“Red” was the one track that I’ve finished and is the compilation of all my anger and frustration that I would have divided in 21 tracks.” says Eva. 

As an output of a harsh year on everybody, this track arises like a phoenix from the ashes, enhancing all that anger and fear but also giving a sense of power, restlessness, and desire to keep on going through a strong, muscled sound.

Experiments with Roland TB-303 and a 90’s feeling for the kick, HiHats kept raw, pure 909 sounds, and short breaks to keep everything interesting. This mesmerizing one-track EP is a full experience digging deep into emotions.

BCCO Premiere: Eva Swan - Red [EQUALITY08]

Geneva based artist, the Chronics started playing in his basement with a few friends until he decided to go futher and started composing his own tracks. Loving a cold, raw and dark techno, his consistent DJ sets secured him a residency at “Geheimclub” in Germany.
Over the past year, he played alongside Jeff Mills, Karenn, Antigone, Truss, Shlomo, I Hate Models, to name only a few, and has steadily established his music sets with an energetic vibe. Hungry for more, he launched his label Bipolar Disorder at the end of 2016.

In the end, being a DJ was the most fulfilling way for him to be musically active and create sonic experiences. Also because dancing is one of his great passions, his energetic mixes are always dancefloor-oriented.

Even though his sound is constantly evolving, the focus has always been on a high tempo, precise kicks, sharp hats as well as hypnotic and functional sound elements. The most important thing for him will always be the meticulous digging and selection of tracks by outstanding artists.

Besides his solo project as Nona, he is co-founder of the multidisciplinary music, art and event collective re:flect (@re_flect) based in Berlin.

Near End (@near_end) began exploring electronic music back in 2013. Standing first time behind the decks in 2017 at a illegal RJZ (Revolutionary Youth Zurich) party, he immediately wanted to start organizing own events in Zurich. The city was lacking his vision and interpretation of electronic music. This motivated him and his friends to throw their own partys under the name of "Hæresis". The ideology of the label was simple: deliver quality Techno for the lowest possible entry fee. This was the starting point of his DJ career

We're ecstatic to announce that our tenth release will be done by someone who is only a few years older than this catalogue number by age, the incredibly young and talented Dallas-based Cratan, whose work has piqued the interest of some of the industry's biggest names.

"Advanced," the EP’s first offering is a propulsive track with a deft synth stab. During the breakdown, a barrage of slick percussive patterns emerge, surrounded by overdriven rides that insist on being played in a warehouse from the 1990s. With his slinky house-injected flavour, it's a formidable balance of tension and appropriation with "Call," which features a persuasive lead that periodically catches the light over a groovy bass. You'll be transported back to the days of good barebones techno with the title track "Crestfall," which features a panic stricken 16th note cascading percussion. Until you notice the overdriven elements tumbling their way with claps that slap a true classic feel.

Luxembourg artists Arucal and cause_effect launch their new imprint Genetic Ritual in 2026 with Genesis—a split EP that introduces the label’s identity through five tracks of dynamic, experimental techno, complete with a standout remix from France’s Odium.

Founded and curated by Arucal and cause_effect, Genetic Ritual is a techno label rooted in minimalism, emotional intensity, and the raw fundamentals of club culture - movement, freedom, soul, and shared energy. Genesis serves as the project’s first statement of intent, alternating between both artists to present a cohesive and forward-facing vision for the imprint.

Opening the release is Arucal’s ‘1994’, a thunderous techno trip driven by heavy low-end, undulating synth work, swirling textures, and breath-laden, warped vocal elements. cause_effect follows with ‘Connection’, maintaining a hypnotic yet high-octane pace through powerful kicks, shuffled hats, glitch-leaning percussion, and cavernous reverbs that push the track into expansive territory.

Arucal returns with ‘Balrog’, harnessing brooding bass swells, pulsating subs, and slowly unfurling atmospherics over stripped-back, rugged drums. cause_effect then raises the intensity on ‘Unfold’, blending modulating synth lines and metallic tones with a tight, driving rhythmic core. Closing the EP, French producer Odium delivers a deep, atmospheric reinterpretation of ‘Unfold’, reshaping its core elements into a moody, percussive counterpart that rounds off the package with finesse.
