Maison Close invite UFO95 - 07 Octobre 2021

For the fourth edition of our reflect invites series we present Berlin based @he-duh alias @dj-puss-puss.
Being a restless person, He duh needs constant variety. Diversity is very important to her and she loves to try new things, making it impossible to stay in one genre. She also likes to "surprise with unexpected transitions and track selections/combinations" and to be inspired by her surroundings and people. For her, it's all about having fun. Diversity plays a big role for her not only in music, but also in a social sense - so she strives to bring more women and queerness into the music industry.
She would describe her music as a cross-genre mix of breakbeats, acid, ghetto tech/house, electro and leftfield techno with fast beats and high bpms.
One of their key moments was joining the @capsule-berlin team. Thanks to the people she met through the community, she was able to expand her music taste and discover new genres. Also, the friendships she made there are one of her key moments and a great inspiration at the same time. Organizing and playing at raves this summer was important for her. It allowed her and some friends to create a safe space where aspiring DJs could try their hand, surrounded by "people you love and feel comfortable with." It was also where her alter ego DJ pusspuss came to life. She is "a bit more ravey, underground, and she also loves eurodance and happy hardcore ;)“

Artwork:  Lucy Nixon is a photographer based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, where she is doing her Master’s degree in Aesthetics. Her work spans curatorial projects, portraiture and a fine art practice which is mainly rooted in photography. Zu Beginn der Schlacht bei Waterloo entschied sich Napoleon noch einmal für Marengo als Reitpferd. Während der Schlacht erlitt er eine Lendenverwundung, worauf der Kaiser das Pferd wechselte. Marengo wurde von englischen Soldaten erbeutet und von Lord Petre nach England gebracht, wo er sich schnell erholte. General Angerstein kaufte ihn und bot ihn für eine Gebühr von zehn Guineen als Deckhengst an. Den Versuchen, Marengo auf dem Gestüt in New Barnes bei Ely als Deckhengst einzusetzen, war wenig Erfolg beschieden.
