I had the pleasure of kicking off one of the most memorable Sunday fundays ever at the Evolve Music Festival (http://www.evolvefestival.com) in Antigonish, NS in July. This 32-track journey through funk warms up nice and slow at 89 BPM and is a steady progression that ends at a foot stomping 134 BPM. Definitely the funnest set I've thrown down in a long time. It was Friday night. It had been raining for almost 3 days straight. We were tired, cranky, and fresh out of fucks. Then, the skies cleared, the music started up, and we vibed it hard until the break of dawn. 

Here's the first release from Ironic Spin 2022 - RVH (aka Rick Van Hassel) starting to bring our spaceship back down to earth at 3 am with this pumpin, funky, and deep techno set.

Never Stop Dancing is a mix series focused on amplifying house, disco, and techno. The mix series aims to highlight the incredible talent in the Kootenays and the surrounding area. This mix series is dedicated to the house and techno lovers who may find themselves on the first or last on the dance floor. For those who find themselves dancing so hard they have no words to speak. For those who get moved by the music. Never Stop Dancing 2 features Kootenay legend Hoola (@11oola-11oop).

Hoola is a Kootenay staple most well known for his tasteful curation of the @livingroomstage at Shambhala alongside his partner @Lion-S. Hoola grew up raving in the Koots and continues to be a purveyor of the house and techno scene. His style ranges from "shitty/beach disco" to underground techno. Seeing him play live is always a treat as his diversity in taste is bound to keep you on your toes.

This mix is a testament to Hoola's versatility on the decks and a refined taste of music that is the result of years of DJing. He brings together industrial sounds, driving basslines, and mind-bending samples seamlessly, taking the listener on a journey underground. I hope you enjoy this eclectic mix of rare grooves of "dubby techno/deep euro disco."
