Recorded in Echo Park, CA. 12/1/98 - Based on events that transpired at 875 S Bundy Dr in Brentwood CA that changed my life and the lives of many others back in '95. Dude fucked up and fucked us all up in the process. Fuck you OJ.

This song marks a milestone in my writing. It goes out to Keith Emerson, the greatest pianist rock has ever known; who died the same day this song was completed. It was very influenced by early Genesis, Pink Floyd and Emerson Lake and Palmer. Recorded during the week of 3/3/16 thru 3/10/16. I play piano, guitars, bass, and drums on this and it was recorded same place, Diaz studio in Echo Park California. One of our all time heroes in progressive rock n roll has committed suicide and this is all I can offer by way of condolence.

Recorded through a 16 track mixing board onto an 8-track Teac Cassette Recorder in the Siegel studio using a Alesis drum machine, a Les Paul studio model, and a BOSS Heavy Metal pedal.

Hold Me Till I Die (Re-Mastered)

This track signaled a departure from my usual melancholy indie songs and pushed the metal agenda to the forefront. Recorded in the Diaz studio between 9/10/14 and 9/16/14 in. Special thanks to drummer extraordinaire John Halicki for drums and arranging. He basically sent me a file of this drum solo and I wrote the whole song around it. I know it sounds like it was recorded through a potato, sorry guys!!

You are welcome to browse my catalog using the link above!----I am a Los Angeles local, born and raised, Metal, Classic Rock, Progressive, Folk, Jazz - Fusion Lead/Rhythm Electric/Acoustic Guitarist, Bassist, Keys, Singer, Songwriter and Producer. I am "Real" Diaz and have been writing and producing music for over 30 fukn years! I don't f**k around. I do it with no major label backing either!! Major labels don't do shit for me so I depend on an independent underground following of people who choose to listen on their own because they like it, not because it is force fed to them.

I have a slew of recordings, and was the leader of the bands "Scrotos" and "Gremory" in the 90's along with fronting "The Peekers" I'm also one of the founding members of funk legends "Zenbugi", having recorded, produced and performed with them between 98 and 2000. Currently I am focusing on my metal career and collaborating.

I have seen the greats perform in my lifetime, from Pink Floyd to Miles Davis, J Page & R Plant, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Jethro Tull, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Iron Maiden, Dio, Scorpions, Journey, Allman Bros, Deep Purple, Boston, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, NiN, Pantera, Napalm Death, Sepultura, Carcass, Ravi Shankar, Beck, Clapton, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, King Diamond, Slayer, and hundreds more. My musical memory banks are like a rock/jazz encyclopedia. I hope to add my two cents into the timeline of great music. I started here on Soundcloud with nothing and now have built a solid fan base, so thanks to all who have participated on this journey!!

I am available for collaboration, session work, live performances and instruction. I produce from my home studio in Echo Park, CA.

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio!
