Smooth was established by Marco Köller from Wuppertal (Germany) in 2006 to seperate the progressive flavoured output from his other musical projects and to dive a little deeper into sounds and other musical genres. Meanwhile, Smooth has become a project for research in Dubtechno, Deep House, Garage House, UK House, Progressive, Drum&Bass and 2-Step, as these styles have been important influences in the bygone years. Marco Köller started DJing back in 1989 and producing in 1994, and since that time, he moved in many electronic music genres. Beside producing, mastering, sound design and graphic design, he operates the non-commercial audio netlabel CYAN that he founded together with Jaja.

Night in the forest... Being out in the wild, especially in darker times sharpens your senses. You seem to register every cracking of twigs and every noise which echoes from one ancient tree to another. In the night time, trees seem to be like creatures from another age... You can find solitude in such a wild and enchanting environment. The campfire illuminates the gloomy forest and dancing shadows of the flames are casted on the surrounding trunk of the trees. Above the star-bright night are sounds echoing in infinity. Night sounds, wind, fire and mother nature...

Per il quarto episodio della nostra podcast series dedicata al Komorebi Music Festival, vi abbiamo riservato qualcosa davvero speciale.
È complicato, alla vigilia di giorni importanti, alla vigilia del nostro giorno importante, riuscire ad esternare sensazioni presentimenti emozioni e quel turbinio di pensieri che ci avvolge. Come l'onda del mare che non sommerge, ma tiene a galla.
Abbiamo deciso allora di far raccontare una storia un po' particolare, una storia che parla del Komorebi Music festival, ad un'artista di un calibro, un tatto, una sonorità unica. Così lontana, eppure così estremamente vicina, se ascolti. Un'artista cui stesso nome è natura. Ma, sopratutto, un'artista cui musica narra di torrenti di montagna, dei verdi steli dell'erba, del sale del mare, della rugiada di prima mattina.

So we decided to tell a rather special story, a story about the Komorebi Music festival throught an artist of a caliber: a touch, a unique sound. So far away, so close if you listen. An artist whose real name is nature. But, above all, an artist whose music shows mountain streams, of green stalks of grass, of the salt of the sea, of the dew of the early morning.
Introspectively Hydrangea, with this podcast, tells about us and you through the leaves of our trees.
