One of the OG Defected House Masters, Dennis Ferrer’s relationship with the iconic London label is checkpointed by a vast number of innovative originals, guiding house through many eras from soul and gospel to Afro and techno. Now renowned as one of the instantly recognisable anthems of modern house and the Defected catalogue, ‘Hey Hey’ receives two Afro house remixes from Jack Back and Da Capo & Kitty Amor. One of electronic music’s most recognisable artists, David Guetta created the Jack Back alias to return to his house roots, releasing the chart-topping Defected hit ‘(It Happens) Sometimes’ in 2018. His remix of Dennis Ferrer’s classic has been widely teased in his sets, including a DJ Mag livestream which resulted in a tidal wave of fan support; now the French titan presents the hotly anticipated ‘Hey Hey’, complete with pitched percussion steering us towards moments of tension and smooth, deep release. Up next on the package, South African producer Da Capo joins forces with a pioneer of the burgeoning UK Afro house scene, Mahaba Music label boss Kitty Amor.
