My girlfriend has always wanted me to write her a song in her style of music. She’s an indie lover, but I’m more of a pop artist. However, I can vibe with her music! As a surprise for our 5 year anniversary and her birthday I wrote her an entire EP in her style of music (or at least as close as I possibly could make it).

“Nostalgia Hits” was the first song I made for this EP. I got the idea after finding the synth sample on TikTok from a musician named pattyboomba (a.k.a. Pat Gabriel). The sound gave me very strong Cuco vibes, who’s an artist that pops up in my girlfriend’s playlist a lot. It was the perfect foundation to add my own flair to! Once I finished the song, I reached out to Pat to clear the sample. He said I was good to release whatever I made without the need to credit him or anything. However, he’s a super talented musician and I suggest you check out his page for some inspiration. Thanks Pat :)
