UMEK’s 1605 is back with the latest instalment of it’s Desiderati 4 mixed artist series and along with a cut from the label owner himself, it also features thundering techno tracks by NoNameLeft, Beico and AKKI (DE).

All four of the tracks on the EP are peak time techno anthems in the style that UMEK has made his trademark, and in that sense it’s hard to pick a stand out favourite, but AKKI (DE)’s “Move My Body” has that little bit of extra magic.

AKKI (DE) is a German talent who has collaborated on hit tracks with the likes of the Cosmic Boys, but is also well-known for his contributions to labels such as Spartaque’s Codex Recordings and Monika Kruse’s Terminal M.

He has an epic style with pounding percussion that lays a foundation for powerful synths laced with a twisted euphoria and wrapped in dark atmospherics.

Move My Body opens with rumbling sub bass and a pounding kick drum while the lead synth slowly fades in and the tension builds. It hits a crescendo when the drums come crashing back in after the main breakdown, and its explosive finish is perfect for maximum impact on the dance floor.

"Insomnia" by FC3RS is an electrifying tribute to the iconic Faithless track, reimagined with a peak time techno twist. The track pays homage to Maxi Jazz, a pioneer in the electronic music scene, with the vocal "I can't get no sleep" that hits both your head and heart.

From the opening beat, "Insomnia" commands attention with its driving rhythm and signature acid sounds. The popular synth melody creates a hypnotic atmosphere that is both intense and exhilarating. The track's energy builds and builds, reaching a euphoric climax that leaves the listener feeling invigorated and ready for more.

FC3RS has done an excellent job of bringing new life to a classic track, while also paying tribute to a trailblazer in electronic music.

Volodymyr Prysich (fka @saturatedcolor), as a very sensitive person, caught the tendency towards straight beats and trance motifs, while performing in his native bar 0432 in Vinnytsia. At the same time, the vicissitudes of life, drug abuse and a stay in a psychiatric hospital influenced the artist's perception of life and music, which added tactility and a hallucinogenic effect to his compositions.

"Emotional Swing' is about personal mood changes, 'Transition To Reality' - about transformation of the perception of reality, I began to perceive life more easily and became more decisive, like this track. 'Balanced Segment' is about the day, when I finally felt my balance in the wheel of life. 'Look Through Yourself' - as a symbol of returning the focus to your life, not from a position of selfishness, but from a position of inspiration to create it.

No matter what happens in life, there should always be time for self-reflection, a little self-reflection, rethinking some things, and for some fiery dancing!

Alan Fitzpatrick keeps moving from strength to strength with his ‘We Are The Brave’ imprint. Following on from their successful summer, the label get back to their underground roots as we enter the club season. Next up we’ve got two deep, ominous rollers from Portsmouth lad ‘A.S.H’. 

Acid tinged 'Kiss' sets the deep moody tone for the record, where colossal kick drums ride along with a delicate, yet impressive array of synths and arpeggios drift over the top. 'Kiss' is remarkably dreamy at the same time as being immersive and full-bodied, the lead synth rips through the speakers and the drops bring the sensations needed for the club.

'Reactor' sets off similarly, but soon breaks off into a bright arpeggiated lead synth line that reverberates through the track right up to the drop. 'Reactor' is then interrupted by a fierce and brooding synth lead! Big drums take control of your feet while the synths take your ears for a ride and the result is a beautifully hard, melodic techno wonder!

Denise Schneider deliberately decided against an artist name, because she is what she is - authentic, pure, real!

Denise Schneider discovered her love for electronic music through her work in the nightlife. By mentoring the artists, her curiosity about the big picture was aroused. When the desire to be a DJ grew stronger, her husband, who has made a name for himself as a club owner and promoter, finally encouraged her. Almost self-taught, the Ulmer native taught herself how to DJ more than 10 years ago. Since then she has been playing at popular clubs and countless major festivals around the world.

When she enters the DJ booth, the auditorium experiences a DJane, in which every gesture and facial expression tells of her enthusiasm for melodic techno/techno. Through this body language alone, Denise evokes an emotional sound experience on the dance floor. Every single track of their sets releases endorphins in the audience, often accompanied by frenetic applause. It's understandable that Denise Schneider is a welcome guest in popular clubs as well as at festivals.

Since 2017, the mother of two has also been spending every free minute in the studio to realize her musical visions. With success! The remake of Nils Van Gogh's 2019 classic Pulverturm landed in the top ten of the Beatport charts internationally and number 1 nationally in the peaktime techno category. And with the new edition of the Members of Mayday anthem Sonic Empire in 2020, Denise Schneider has once again distinguished herself as a producer.
