@razmiel is one of the greatest world-builders in contemporary electronic music. From 2020’s Buhoku to last year’s two-part EP Yairku, they’ve shown an extraordinary ability to conjure sonic spaces and absorb the listener into that world. This culminated in March’s ofania, a phenomenal record melding fantasy, allegory and sexuality into the audio-narrative of the elf-like Veels. Their “Lost in Tar” mix stays in the universe of ofania, and is a further, ever-astounding look into the world of the album, blending the choral and the industrial, glitch and deconstruction, in a manner that always accentuates the penumbral journey to which the songs accumulate. “Razmiel - a Polish musician studying Sound Art in Denmark. I really like Pokémon but I have good qualities too. My biggest inspiration is DJ TomUś.
On March 21st, I released my best work to date - an album called ‘’ofania’’, which depicts my struggles with body dysmorphia in a grand fictional narrative filled with corruptive noisy textures, thick ambience and glitchy rhythms. This mix is kind of ‘’ofania extended universe’’. It’s titled after the main motto of the album and includes some of my influences while writing it that could fit in the universe alonside my own work - as well as some edits of the album tracks.
I hope you enjoy it! Try to imagine a race of elves being submurged in black tar on a foggy meadow while you’re listening to it.”
