In very loose terms, James K's (@jamesk_1) music operates at the fringes of the pop world. It is experimental and industrial, packed with hooks and riddled with dreamy textures that show off her mastery of synths. She has released it in album form with Dial and Incenso, dropped EPs on AD 93 and collaborated with the likes of Drew McDowall and Stefan Maie, and always manages to imbue her adventurous arrangements with real-world emotions and anxieties. This year she will join us at Dekmantel Festival but not before serving up this week's podcast.

It's the sort of rhythmically thrilling workout that has always stood James apart: jittery drum patterns and kinetic grooves that unfold at 100 miles an hour as a barrage of caustic motifs, hypnagogic melodies and hyper-real colours all bounce about the mix. There is an ever-present sense of tension in the way things are assembled - it's as if they might implode or explode at any minute, and it all sounds fantastically futuristic.

SUTA is an FL Studio composer and Picsart visionary, originating from an inglorious spot of the Hungarian Lowlands, Talfaja.
Since moving to Budapest, he has been affiliated with various organizations such as 111records, Zaj+ or Daddypower Records while running the platform  Marmint Agency. He has collaborated with Budapest innovators such as Asvany, előd, and Ecovocoron; while also playing alongside worldwide icons such as umru, Evanora:Unlimited, and BABii. SUTA released three EPs and a wide catalog of club-ready singles, remixes and tools since 2021. In 2025, SUTA will release his new tape #CluelessMusic and continue following "the Wicked Path of Sound."

For RADIO:TRAUMA 033, SUTA has compiled an eclectic array of everything from deconstructed sound art to club-ready experimental tools. Totalling 33 minutes and 33 seconds, this mix steps into the space between the weird, wicked and wonderful.

GHOST RAID is a Southern California based artist and DJ who creates blistering soundscapes, mangling and reinterpolating dance music and composition into pure catharsis. Heavily inspired by artists like Alparr, S280F, Iglooghost and former music teacher FITNESSS, they have been producing work which explores the intersection between harsh noise and club music. Having an extensive catalogue of their own work, they have also released music alongside contemporaries in the deconstructed electronic scene including Raiika, Cenaceae, Archidi and 2MANYCOLOURS. They are working on numerous projects which will be released over the coming months.

For this mix, GHOST RAID has welded together harsh electronics with euphoria, creating a soundscape akin to the dichotomy between heaven and hell. Cold, cybernetic and dystopian in nature, allow sound to fully consume.
