As a kid, a passion for electronic music was planted deep in Nikki Kyle at the public library. Flipping through endless drawers of CDs and checking out stacks at a time, he discovered new worlds of sound through artists like Basement Jaxx, BT, Massive Attack, and The Chemical Brothers. But it took fifteen more years and moving to New York to find the intersection of this music and queer nightlife through Ladyfag parties and nights spent at Output, House of Yes, and Glasslands where people were exploring how to realize the versions of themselves they’d only ever imagined. He had found home, at least a spiritual one, and it inspired him to leave his previous life behind and go all-in on music.
