I was evicted from my first apartment in Flint Michigan. When it came time to making a summer hit for the city I call home today (Las Vegas) A city recovering from COVID-19's deep felt impact; I knew I had to get at the great Dizzy Wright (Funk Volume). Like our city, true independent artists were impacted too. So in time of despair, we do what artists do best. And we went to work. I hope you enjoy the track as much as I enjoyed preparing it for you.

"Shut Up" is a hard hitting, modern sounding, trap hip-hop track. With an interesting vocal sample ringing throughout the opening, the build-up begins to feel electrifying. Many early listeners have said the beat production reminds them of  “Super Gremlin” by Kodak Black. The chorus comes in significantly powerful and creates a “mean” image in the listeners head. Jaxx also uses his ad-libs very sparingly throughout this track, which has not been a staple of his music. This creates intense feels with the selective vocal adds with impressive reverberation implementing a very clean track. In this song, Jaxx describes a situation that he experienced with a female. Although not the cleanest lyrics, Jaxx somehow still finds a way to bring real life experiences directly to the listeners mind. In the second verse, you will hear Philadelphia’s own, Youmidaswell. Adding on to Jaxx’s lyrical conception, Youmidaswell re-explains the point Jaxx demonstrated earlier on in this track in a different, more melodic, style of rap. With the aggression and lyrical smarts shown throughout the track, the two combined to create an exciting and powerful trap banger.

"Keeping The Throne" is an aggressive, emotional hip-hop track. Similarly sounding to Black Skinhead, "Keeping the Throne" causes the listener to feel the emotion and the rage you can hear in the lead rapper's voice. This song is electrifying, intense, and still holds onto a piece of the modern sound. With a growling type of vocal style, the lead rapper, Jaxx, is able to add a special unique cadence to his sound which lets the listener feel the power he is portraying.
