I've always been enthralled by sad songs that sound happy. When I first heard "Everything I Wanted" (originally written by Billie Eilish) and learned the powerful story behind it, I was inspired to create my own uplifting dance version. This is an all-original production; I recorded new vocals with the lovely Shelley Marie. The Upright Deep Mix is a funky vibe with an upright acoustic bass.

I've been a fan of Hell's Kitchen for years. It's my one reality TV show guilty pleasure. I try to rationalize the hours I've spent watching it by pretending it's educational; maybe I'm learning something about cooking! If nothing else, the show is entertaining. You can't get 10 minutes into an episode without Gordon dropping F-bombs left and right. He is _passionate_. With this production, I tried to capture Gordon's energy and create a fresh sound, inspired by the legendary culinary competition. I hope you enjoy!

When You're Next To Me

"You're Gonna Love Me" features songwriter Shelley Marie on vocals. I heard an early demo of the song that she recorded on her iPhone with a simple guitar accompaniment, and I knew it was a gem. I knew I could bring out the best in the song, and give it an updated, electro-pop feel. I recorded fresh vocals with Shelley in my apartment home studio, and then built the rest of the track around them in Ableton.
