I produced this record specifically to play at the Shrine in LA in early 2020 (which turned out to be a few weeks before the world shut down). It was written as a tongue in cheek story partly inspired by my first car, an old Camry that collects dust in Melbourne while I’m away on tour. I wasn’t sure what to do with the record when dance floors paused around the world. But I’ve received requests for it every other day since. All things considered, I figured it’s probably time to get it out there into the world. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed giving it a rev on the dance floor.

The Function

“Feel It” is a hypnotic trance anthem built on soaring vocals, pulsing synths, and driving basslines. It captures the rush of euphoria on the dancefloor — that moment when the music takes over, lifting you higher, and every beat feels eternal. To reflect the different ways music can be felt, Feel It comes in four distinct versions, each carrying the same core message but with its own energy:

Original Version – Euphoric trance with ethereal verses, explosive choruses, and a cosmic sense of release. A perfect balance of melody and drive.

Hard Version – Tougher and darker, with pounding basslines, jagged synths, and rave intensity. Pure adrenaline, built for peak-hour dancefloors.

Pump Version – High-energy, festival-ready, with relentless rhythm and big drops designed to make the crowd move as one. Bold, powerful, and electrifying.

Chill Version – Stripped back, atmospheric, and hypnotic. A softer, more intimate journey that lets the lyrics breathe while keeping the trance heartbeat alive.

Together, these versions show the full spectrum of how you can feel it: from the gentle pull of emotion to the explosive force of euphoria.

I Feel it (Hard)

I’ve been testing this track out on the road for the better part of 12 months, tweaking the moments until I felt it had just the right amount of dance floor appeal. It’s been so exciting to watch people connect with it right in front of me. I wrote the hook after wrapping up a club show at Audio in San Francisco back in June 2018. The crowd was really gravitating towards sustained, rolling grooves that night, so when I got back to the hotel I really felt the need to make one that was just for them. The speech in the breakdown is a sample of a local San Franciscan dance legend who I’ve respected for a long time, and I felt it was just too perfect to let the track out into the world without it.
