In 2012 De la Swing started the music label division of a Barcelona's electronic music promoter called elrow. Ten years later here we are. For the first release of 10th anniversary series we are pretty excited to have on board one of the most iconic elrow resident Dj and amazing music producer Bastian Bux. He is debuting on the label with two killer tracks, one for the peaktime and the other for late night sets.

'Kriminal Fried Chicken' is built around an unconventional vocal sample and a powerful beat. The track crossovers genres and it is suitable for a wide range of Djs and audiences. 'Clickbait' is an introspective track halfway between minimal vibes and classy tech-house. Synth layers and robotic vocal do the dirty work. Keep an eye on the label, this year is going to be huge for elrow music!

Uniting with Planet X boss Ben Sterling and Beatport favourite Iglesias, March sees the UK trio step out on Hottrax to serve up two groove-laden, collaborative cuts for ‘Just Like | Sides’.

Pumping basslines and rolling drums propel Latmun and Sterling’s ‘Just Like’, as warped synth breakdowns and twisted vocals go hand in hand, before combining with Iglesias to offer up tumbling percussion, fibrous basslines and snappy samples across dancefloor workout ‘Sides’.

Rising star SOSA collaborates with established producer and DJ duo Prok | Fitch. Together, they weave their distinct sound of groove-based tech house, releasing a club-driven creation suitable for transient and peak-time moments on the dancefloor. 

They explain the functional aspect of the EP. “We’ve wanted to do something together for a while through a mutual love for one another’s music. The tracks came together effortlessly; we merged our production styles, bounced the projects back and forth and ended up doing three tracks covering the full scope of our DJ sets and us as producers,” they say. “It was important to have a lead track for the EP, something that a good cross-section of DJs could get behind and then some timeless DJ tools for groovier floors, late night/early morning moments and the big rooms! We’re buzzing with how they turned out and how they’ve been working on the dancefloor.” The title tune opens with a minimal vibe before a sultry vocal slips into the soundscape, evoking a sunrise-at-the-rave mood. Stripped-back percussion allows the lyrics to breathe, while a robust kickdrum conveys a clubby feel. Like the title suggests, Sweat is a pacier tune that ripples with a low-slung bassline and sizzling vocals with a touch of reverb—the perfect late-night groover. Final tune Footsteps In The Dark unfurls with a stabby synthline and snappy percussion, offering a peak-time production primed for a club soundsystem.

Having debuted on 2tone Records, Charles Pierre may be a relatively new name but his productions have been championed by the Solid Grooves Records co-founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA for quite some time. With consistent road-testing and undeniably strong crowd reactions the label now provides a platform for Pierre’s next anticipated outing.

A rumbling bassline takes centre stage in ‘Directions’ whilst a recognizable sample, thudding kicks and various effects come into play. ‘Right Beat’ is more mesmerizing by comparison, featuring sharp percussion, hypnotic looped vox and a sultry low-end.

He released in some of most successful labels of the genre like Toolroom or Sola among others, probably for his signature sound, up-to-date tech-house with lot of groove and percussion vibe. 'Been A Long Time' is about a classic four-to-the-floor background and a huge and funky bassline but is the arpeggiated synth the main hook of the track, adding some pressure to this killer tune. Next up this winter on Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records imprint is UK DJ & producer, Ki Creighton, with his debut 'Inhale' EP. With releases on respected labels including Elrow, Snatch, Circus, 8bit, Toolroom Trax and of course his own label, Under No Illusion, this talented DJ / producer is showing no signs of slowing down. The 'Inhale' EP showcases Ki's signature sound; percolating rhythms, crisp and energetic percussion, playful rise and fall basslines, hip swinging claps and vocal chants that ebb and flow throughout the compositions.
