Born in the suburbs of Houston, Texas as an only child, reclusive underground street rapper Narcissus did not hear rap or pop music until the age of 13, after which he began producing and recording his own music and mixes with recording equipment worth less than $250. A computer genius, Narcissus quickly taught himself audio-engineering and rapping techniques. 

Also an academic genius, gifted at math, science, reading, writing, and every other subject, Narcissus excelled at middle school and high school, earning all A's and playing basketball, golf, and football. 

Despite falling victim to an unexpected neurological illness that caused him to stop playing sports during high school, Narcissus graduated top 1% of his class and scored top 1% on his SATs and obtained entry to a competitive honors program at an undisclosed state university. 

After three years, Narcissus graduated with an honors degree while producing unreleased underground rap music. In these several years, Narcissus produced and recorded most of his music, choosing to keep his songs unreleased for fear of jeopardizing his reputation as a scholar. Narcissus never had more than a thousand or two thousand in savings, but sometimes $0 and found it difficult to acquire permanent work while managing poverty and associated lingering legal obstacles. 

Often working multiple dead end jobs, Narcissus could often not afford to eat his meals daily. At one point after a difficult surgery, he even fasted for about 21 days. However, with perseverance, Narcissus became a teacher for several years at various middle and high schools and continued to develop his music privately. 

While moving for another teaching opportunity, Narcissus got in an extreme accident, almost dying and losing all his personal possessions, when his moving vehicle, which he was driving, malfunctioned and ended up toppling many times over itself in the desert, incinerating and completely destroying everything except for Narcissus. Afterwards, Narcissus found a way to survive by listening to his favorite music and creating his own, continuing to keep all of it a secret to the world as he worked to develop himself as an artist, working on his music projects for several years to reveal his first self-recorded, self-mixed, and self-mastered noncommercial home studio mixtape to Soundcloud titled Thoughtpokolypse in 2020. 

As an artist, Narcissus admires Tupac, Eminem, The Notorious BIG, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Lil Wayne, NWA, Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, ASAP Rocky, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley as his major musical influences. As he continues to develop his music as a rapper, Narcissus hopes that the introduction of his story in Thoughtpokolypse might inspire everyone else to thrive in the midst of their own life adversity and to create their own great art.
