I wrote this song after I ran away and became homeless; shortly after I got my own place and graduated I started working on my own business. I kept denying myself that music was my passion and kept two samurai inspired quotes beside my desk to look at every time I lost motivation or when I started daydreaming about performing in big stadiums. The quotes were:

"Fate whispered to the warrior: 'You cannot withstand the storm.' The warrior whispered back: 'I am the storm.'"

"If your path demands you walk through hell walk as if you own the place."

(I'm into kenjutso, fencing, and anything that involves fighting with swords and a super nerd when it comes to pirate or samurai history, haha!)

I joked to myself: 'Maybe I should write a song with those quotes.' But after a few seconds I thought: 'Could I?' And since I love challenges I started singing them and before I knew it the entire song came to my mind and I wrote it out. 

Didn't get much done for the business that day but wrote a dope song instead.
