freestyled this one, testing out a new way of organizing my crates. think it turned out pretty well; apparently i chose tighter/closer mixing quite a bit. didn't realize i had two Torcha tracks in there until it was too late. mix starts off in the mid 130s with a few garagey/grimey tunes (not great with genres).

i admit i didn't play the Alan Watts sample in the original recording. i felt like the breakdown there threw the flow of that section off too much, so i wanted to add something. i like AW a lot (RIP), and a sample of him speaking was one of my first ideas. sounded good (and kinda fit thematically) so i threw it in.

Like the generals of a deadly dubstep army, Deep Dark & Dangerous have assembled a squad of the biggest names in the genre to mark the label's centenary release. Every track that builds this mountainous twenty-four track album sees heavyweight producers from across the globe pair up for a collection of explosive collabs and I have the honour of presenting one of those today! 

Today's DDD100 premiere features a combination of the skyrocketing Basura and the UK based Slaine with 'Marches On'. It's an aggressive cut of killer bass design and progressive drum work that you can expect throughout this momentous record, one that I'd consider to be one of the biggest releases of the year! In fact, it's so big, I'll be presenting a second track from the album tomorrow alongside my usual thoughts and observations! For now, you can enjoy this absolute weapon in full.

LIKE U hones in a bit more on the blend of 5/4 175 over 4/4 140. With a bit more breathing room for the patterns it allowed me to lock more into the swing of things. At this point in writing I was having a lot of fun bending lots of different Genres. A vocal from a DNB track, some guitars and also adding in some elements from faster Jersey and faster Drill waves from New York.

Are ya'll fuckin with the weirdness? What kind of style would you like to see incorporated in the future? I feel like this has potential to get a lot heavier so stay tuned...
