Introducing our good friend and fellow Podcast founder of Soul Room Sessions - Darius Kramer... stoked to have Darius back with us with a dope mix for Series 3. Enjoy... and heres a little Bio below for those of you know dont know Darius.

Playing other peoples music for other peoples enjoyment since 1993.

Darius is a self proclaimed "House Addict". He fell in love with the house sound as a teenager living in Montreal back in the early '90s when he would stay up late on Friday nights and record a dance mix show on Montreal radio. He was hooked from then on. He then proceeded to start mixing with one tape deck and a CD player and never looked back.

When he moved to Vancouver in the late '90's, he started buying records almost daily and spent most of his free time at his favourite record stores at the time, Bassix and Mekanix records. Over the next few years, Darius held various residencies and ran 2 club nights in Vancouver, playing alongside such talent as Lawnchair Generals and Johnny Fiasco, as well as playing at numerous after hours and raves. After getting tired of both the late nights and politics in the scene, he decided it was time to hang up the headphones in the early 2000s, but the love of house music still burned inside of him as the years passed.

In 2013 he decided he wanted to get back into DJ'ing and purchased a basic Pioneer controller and started to collect digital tracks again. Over the past few years Darius has been busy making a name for himself in the underground scene with numerous guest mix appearances around the world on such labels as House Salad, Reason2Funk, Uglyhouse, Little Routine, Selecta Music, Leven Underground and House Jet Radio just to name a few. He also started the very popular "SPEED BUMPS" mix series which showcases his love for hip hop and jazz as he shows his versatility as a DJ by blending mixes of nu jazz, hip hop instrumentals and acid jazz flavours reminiscent of Mark Farina's legendary series, Mushroom Jazz.

He also launched the hugely successful "Soul Room Sessions" podcast showcasing the soulful and jazzy side of house music and downtempo beats with guest mixes from some of the biggest names in the game and the series is still going strong!

In 2017 Darius got his first taste of out of town gigging playing live shows all over the West Coast from his hometown in Vancouver, to San Francisco and Oakland. Stay tuned for much more from him in the near future!

Founded by Jon Hart to showcase underground house music from all the talent around the globe with a "real" passion for house music.
Slowly but surely reason2funk is becoming more and more known for its passion for showcasing seriously talented and more importantly passionate House DJs from all parts of the globe.

Reason 2 Funk was started in 2013 by DJ Jon Hart, it was started as a brand to launch our first online radio show on Chicago House FM (Reason 2 Funk Fridays with DJ Jon Hart). 

The brand was then carried through to both Sugar Shack Recordings & Amsterdams Most Wanted as we were offered radio shows on their sites to. 

Reason 2 Funk fast became quite well known amongst the online radio sites and we decided to give the brand a fresh look that was more recognisable in order to continue its growth. 

Reason 2 Funk are now producing music and are looking to release some tracks in early-mid 2015, which will be the launch of "Reason 2 Funk Recordings" as a label, however in the meantime Reason 2 Funk will be releasing weekly podcasts from its featured DJs and guest mixes from talent all over the world.
