One More Light (Linkin Park cover)

My cover of a lovely song by Passenger. The rhythm guitar and vocals were done in one take. 

Yes, the lyrics are incredibly creepy, but I think it's a very sympathetic take on the stereotype. And let's face it: we've all been in a position like this before. (Though I can't say I've climbed up my crush's neighbour's tree to watch her sleep.)

This electronic mixed with raw acoustic sound is something I am going to be focusing heavily on moving forward.

Made in one night at 5am. The ripple sound at the start is me squeezing a bag of chocolates.

X & Y is a lovely, poetic song that I have adored for such a long time. Recently I got back into producing after this long hiatus and I happened to run into X & Y, so here you have this cover.

The cover photo is from the Coldplay album of the same name, remade by me - pixel-for-pixel - because there were JPEG artifacts on all the images of it I found online and that was unacceptable to me.

This song has autotuning on the vocals after the first verse. The first verse is completely raw, but because of time constraints I could not finish the vocals after that before my trip (I'm flying to Germany 5 hours from the time of posting this). I would have loved to punch in raw vocals for the rest of the song. Maybe one day I will come in and add them.

Recently I downloaded Reaper (a sound editing/recording program) and I just got it working, so I figured I’d record a little something before I go to bed here. This is my one-take piano cover of (part of) “The Little Things Give You Away” by Linkin Park. It's a bit off and there might be one mistake, but I think it's kind of nice.

An original song. Wrote this two years ago and had a shitty demo. Decided to remaster and rerelease it. Still not happy with it but whatever. I hope it means something to someone. I need to buy an electric guitar and fuck around with that in another song.
