I made this track for a Sonic Groove compilation curated by MAEDON to raise funds for Ukraine in 2022 that was available only for a short period of time.  The war is, sadly, still going on.  Here is the free download of the track as a humble gesture of support.

Also, this Saturday, December 23rd, I will join a group of Berlin-based artists for a new event at OXI to raise funds for Ukraine and provide essential humanitarian aid. Featuring live sets, DJ performances and exclusive tattoo art. The night promises a unique blend of artistic expression, representing fusion of Ukrainian and Berlin-based artists.

The exhibition segment showcases "Local Stickerbook," an independent magazine exhibiting works, curated by Yan Yassin. Around 20 artists are selected to represent their creations through the sticker format. The team aims to keep investigating and documenting actual Ukrainian alternative art, introducing it outside Ukraine.

is a charitable organization based in Kyiv. They actively organize events to support Ukraine during the ongoing war, channeling their efforts towards providing assistance and relief to those affected by the crisis.

REKA gears up to present her debut EP 'Diving The Innermost' on BITE.

One half of the duo leChic on DJ Hell’s International DJ Gigolo Records back in 2004, the Berlin-based artist is seasoned in the art of weaving her techno sound into technical and carefully narrated dancefloor stories.

The EP cut 'Polarity' demonstrates REKA’s past while "combining acid and electro qualities with a futuristic sci-fi sonic palette while firmly embedding it alongside contemporary techno."

Reka X Imperial Black Unit - Todo Avaricia

‘Todo Avaricia’ by Reka and the duo Imperial Black Unit is the result of an immediate and natural connection forged between the three artists, through a jam session that swiftly and intuitively yielded three tracks of stylistically diverse yet demonstrably cohesive sounds. Featuring the sampled voices of Che Cuevara, Pablo Neruda and original vocals by Reka herself, the EP plays the role of an urgent call to action against political and environmental injustice, conveyed via the musical substrate of new beat, industrial and EBM, fused into a landscape of techno and undeniably constructed for the dancefloor. The EP is rounded off with a heavy-hitting remix of the title track by the prolific Umwelt, in his signature dramatic style.

Reka's remix of SDH’s ‘You Pt.12’ is ​​the band's first collaboration with a DJ, and it's strange that they took so long to do it because their suggestive synth-pop songs sprinkled with EMB and techno are fertile ground for DJs all over the world to get the perfect sexy dance song everyone is waiting for in a party in a late night club.

SDH and Reka met in Berlin in 2019 when SDH were touring supporting their self-titled album (Avant! Records, 2018) and the connection was instantaneous. Sooner or later they had to work together.

The song ‘You Pt.12’ originally appeared on Against Strong Thinking EP (Avant! Records, 2020), SDH’s follow-up to their first record, and it’s probably one of the songs the bests sums up their sound and style: somber, sexual, obtuse and mysterious.

Demonstrating selections from contemporary techno to the genre's prototypical past of electro and wave, her sets are a highly sensitive affair; manoeuvring seamlessly through dance music's multitude of permutations, blending together into a carefully narrated story that ebbs and flows with her artistic vision and prowess.

Currently based in Berlin, REKA has constantly toured worldwide from Berghain, KHIDI in Tbilisi, and De School in Amsterdam to Movement in Detroit and Vurt in Seoul amongst many other clubs and festivals. Previously, she also held a 5 year residency at Tresor. Most recently, she released her debut record Diving The Innermost on BITE on 2018, following with another EP in collaboration with Imperial Black Unit released on FLEISCH. Besides her duties as a producer and DJ, REKA took on the role as a curator, whether organising her own night W.A.V.E.S. or other events around Berlin and throughout Europe. REKA ́s rich experience and broad musical range have rendered her remarkably diverse.

Starting to collect records at the age of 10 in Spain, she became equally infatuated with science, and it was not until she finished her degree in Genetics that she decided to pursue her artistic path full-time. Merely one year into her DJ career, REKA was discovered by DJ Hell and joined International Deejay Gigolos as part of the female duo leChic, releasing the critically acclaimed CD-mix “leMix” in 2008. Three years later, REKA was selected to participate in Toronto edition of Red Bull Music Academy. She eventually felt the desire to start her solo path which is considerably darker and gravitating towards more experimental realms which she still pursues to this day.
