I was thinking about the way the rain falls down
I was thinking about the way we should heal now
If only it was as simple as being washed clean
I would take us all to the nearest stream

I was thinking of how we say nature heals us
How we expect it to provide so much
It’s not just ourselves who need healing
We need to think about all these things from the ground up

We look around and see so much that needs fixing
When we put out fires every single day
Our lives are that of survival
How are we meant to implement change?

I wish I had the answers, I wish I held the truth
I wish I had the knowledge that would free me and you
We can only hold each other, but I know that we are strong
And if one of us falters, we’ll help the other along

Maybe we need to get to that stream
Oh, hell it can’t hurt to try
A week on the mountain, the sea below us
And above us, the whole of the sky
