The "Tetragonal EP" marks the fourth and final release of the Stone Techno series for this year. Together with the Ruhr Museum foundation we were able to create a very unique concept which refers to the notable history of the Ruhr Area. The collaboration with each artist was a great pleasure and experience for us and as you might already know if you’re following this project since the first release: all of the results that reached us were impressively various and ingenious.

On the „Tetragonal“ EP you will find a nicely curated mixture of artists and tracks, which takes you on a mesmerizing journey. In the beginning our dear friend Dax J delivers a straightforward 6-minute banger that he's known for. Followed by an anthemic and yet percussive piece of Hadone which reminds us of the long raving nights we all have missed so much. On the B-side Colin Benders ennobles mineralogy with a carefully composed arrangement which drives you deep into modular synthesis, while Felix Fleer takes you on a late night trip with oscillating tones and harmonies.

We hope you enjoy our last Stone Techno release for this year and don’t worry: there’s a lot more to come in 2022 with a new sample library as well. Stay tuned!

Premiere: Lindsey Herbert “Doppler Effect” - Gomboc Records

Rising Greek techno star ANNĒ makes her full debut on Soma with her brand new EP, 1990.
After appearing on a previous instalment of the Collection Process VA’s, ANNĒ drops a proper
deep and driving 4 track release to cement her place within Soma Records.
Title track 1990 opens with tough, rolling beats and continues to gallop with an infectious groove
and thrashing percussion. Wake Up And Dance is a carefully processed track where each
element compliments the other, consolidating in yet another driving and perfectly layered track.
On a more hypnotic tip, Keep An Eye On Me uses looped out synths that ebb and flow
throughout backed by ANNĒ’s hi intensity drum workouts. Sirens closes out the EP on
spectacular form and once again, mesmerising synth hooks drive from the start, layering up
perfectly as the track progresses to create a proper dance floor burner.

SHDW & Obscure Shape return to their mothership label From Another Mind with their six-track 'Vergessene Welt' EP, signalling the first material on the imprint for 18 months.

Founded in 2015, the launch of SHDW and Obscure Shape's label From Another Mind saw the Stuttgart-based DJ/producers establish themselves via a wealth of self-released material while welcoming a long list of high-profile remixers, including Rodhad, James Ruskin and Dax J. However, the pair's evolution saw new ventures explored and attention focused wider afield with the launch of their second label Mutual Rytm in 2022. Utilising their A&R skills, the label has seen the duo curate and invite a selection of up-and-coming and established names while also delivering their first EP on the label in Summer, 'Poetic Justice'. Exploring the techno sounds of tomorrow while drawing on influences of the past, the label quickly turned heads and has become a go-to for many. Following a brief hiatus, the attention is now turned back towards From Another Mind as the pair explore their origins and the signature FAM sound once again, opening the New Year with six fresh productions across their 'Vergessene Welt' EP.

Opener 'Planet Der Sturme' is an exhilarating ride through driving basslines, menacing synth lines and hard-hitting percussion to march towards the peak hours and set the tone for what's to come. 'Der Urknall' is a trippy and murky dive through off-kilter textures and regimented percussion, while 'Das Gefallene Konigreich' ups the energy levels further with sharp metallic tones, skittering hats and subtle haunting melodies launching deep into the late night hours.

On the flip, 'Geburt Der Erde' brings a slice of paired-back, groove-led techno as a slick acid line takes control and ebbs and flows throughout the track's six-minute duration, before closing the physical record via the delicate yet compelling sonics of title cut 'Vergessene Welt' - showcasing a deep dive into far-reaching corners of the genre.
