Solitude to Sanctuary is a two-part EP reflecting the journey Michailo has been on over the last six years. 

Part 1: Solitude features three tracks. 

1. 'Gagma Napiri' uses hauntingly beautiful vocals to create deep atmospheric and experimental techno.

2. 'Visitor in a Dream' creates a strong deep techno beat and use effects to create affect for the connoisseur DJ playing ambient sets.

3. 'Meambokhe Meambore' deep dark synths and a fantastic break beat create something with hints of Depeche Mode in it.

Part 2: Sanctuary features three tracks. 1. 'Grey Ghetto' dark gorgeous dark synth motifs and sounds create a beautiful deep techno track 2. 'Stuffe Eins' Michailo is joined by F Noise creating deep, dub, dark techno. 3. 'UFO' haunting and otherworldly this is a cosmic exploration of experimental techno. Hi Everyone,

Like everyone I am contemplating and understanding and dealing with the fall out of this bloody virus.

I have been struggling with my musical inspiration for sometime now. Last night I started working on a new track and it’s sounds pretty good. It’s made me smile again.

I am did an impromptu DJ set live just following the music wherever it went - no plan, no sound in mind just flow. Stayed quite deep.

Afrikan Techno is Van Afrika’s new release out 1 March. The EP features three new tracks:

The tracks are a reflection of Van Afrika’s passion for dark, hypnotic techno, always with an element of soul and groove. 

About The Artist: 

Van Afrika is best known for his residency at Drunken Kong’s Intention techno night at Womb nightclub in Tokyo. It is here where Van played on the same billing as techno heavyweights Wehba, Christian Smith, Arjun Vagale, Alberto Ruiz, D-Unity, Uto Karem and of course Drunken Kong. In 2019 Van Afrika followed a long standing dream to create his own label. 


About Rebellie: 

Rebellie was born with the intention of providing opportunity to talented techno artists from parts of the world less known. Rebellie means ‘Rebellion’ in Van Afrika’s native Afrikaans language. Our aim is not to be the biggest label but to be respected and appreciated by people who love underground culture and techno music.
