Rebel Vision recordings present the second edition of 'Kaleidoscope Of Sounds' series with a collection of hard-hitting and precious gems from the minds of LALISA, Hofmann, Pedro Caldas and Jeremie Herreman. The diversity of the label is shown in the various styles on this record. This is an EP of contrasts, from the afro driving pulse to the organic light sounds. At the opening the French artist aka LALISA treats us to a wiggly banger in 'Le Blu', the unmistakable groove immediately carries us away and drives us straight onto the dance floor. Hofmann takes up this beautiful flow in his fascinating track 'Maasai Way' and adds organic melodic elements that are interwoven with original sounds to create a fabulous, versatile sound story. Swiss based newcomer musician Pedro Caldas takes things into darker territory with 'Behind Of Nightmare'. Sharpe cut and flair, another sure-fire peak-time bumper. The conclusion of this story will be presented to us by Jeremie Herreman. He rounds things off with a focussed acid groove that opens up halfway through with twinkling pads.

At the halfway mark, the 'Piano Motion' takes a bright light, twisted turn, disorients, haunting groove bass and paranoid voices struggle to speak over fluctuating low-end harmonics, full of dense, intricate abstractions and transcendental details like the pianos riffs and fills. The third part of this conceptually coherent release creates an exciting and exceptional soundscape. 'Soul Mate' is perfectly emotive and gently rising like a tide, winking at old Hamburg House with attitude, a rude bassline and heavy swagger.

Opening the record is 'Reconnaissance', an melodic soundtrack highlight with deep bass, foreboding pads and wavering synths. Far heavier and darker than the opener is 'Lost Reverse', powerful basement rhythms dynamic and energetic without being overstated.
