You know you’re doing something very, very right when your Coya DJ residency expands to include sister venues in Abu Dhabi, Monaco, Sardinia , London, Paris and Mykonos. Then again, hard work has come naturally to Romanian born DJ Alex Twin during his career.Armed with a set of decks by 16, a vinyl DJ at 19 and running Bamboo Club Bucharest at just 21 and a guest at leading Romanian club Fratelli, he made the move to Ibiza where success quickly followed.

Playing a mix of Electronic , Afro House and Melodic Techno vibes to fit each venue, he also held residencies at Palm Beach Ibiza, Cala Bassa Ibiza, Elephant Ibiza and Café Mambo Ibiza.Sharing the decks alongside big names like Adriatique, H.O.S.H , Oxia, Laolu , FNX Omar, Megablast and many others, he developed his own sound and style. Before making the move to the UAE 7 years ago, becoming a full time DJ and producer and Coya’s rising star.

With his profile rising in the emirate, he’s become an in-demand DJ including playing at the Monaco and Abu Dhabi F1 after parties and the Official Cannes Film Festival after party DJ.A producer with a growing reputation, with EPs recently released to labels like All Day I dream, Pipe & Pochet, Bercana Music and Coya Music, his music has been strongly supported by Lee Burridge , Lost Dessert , Blondish and many others.
His latest EP signed on "Pipe & Pochet" went out in January 5th and it gained unexpected hype in the Electronic Music industry, proving that Alex Twin continues to do all the right things in his growing DJ and production career.

Harmony and Frequency.

As you contemplate the meaning behind these words, you suddenly realize that everything you thought you knew about existence is wrong. The twist is that time and space are not linear or finite but an endless loop, constantly folding in on itself like an origami crane. Every moment, decision, and thought is interconnected, creating an intricate web of frequencies within which we exist. Our perception of control is merely an illusion, as we are simply riding the waves of this endless loop, trying to navigate through the chaos.
In this infinite expanse, we are a tiny speck, yet our actions have a ripple effect that can reach the entire universe. It is up to us to use this power for good, to navigate the in-between frequencies of time with wisdom and compassion. For in this fragile journey, every decision we make can profoundly impact the very fabric of existence itself. So let us choose wisely and do our best to create a harmonious and just reality for all within these frequencies.

In memory of our dear friend Marc Bartissol.

Marc was not only a radiant part of the local music scene, he was also a member of the MUTEK team, working for number of years translating texts and artist biographies so integral to the festivalʼs voice and identity. A talented musician and performer, he was also an empathic confidante to those closest to him and a funny, kind and delicate soul in every interaction with others.

Unreleased before, this mix was recorded live at MUTEK Montreal in 2016, 3 years before his sudden passing in august 2019.

Rest in Power Marc.

Presented as part of STREAM ON, a project by MUTEK, with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

Marc n’était pas seulement une présence lumineuse sur la scène musicale locale, il était également un membre de l'équipe MUTEK, travaillant pendant de nombreuses années à traduire les textes et les biographies d'artistes si essentiels à la voix et à l'identité du festival. Musicien et interprète talentueux, il était aussi un confident empathique pour ses proches, une âme bienveillante, gentille et délicate.

Inédit auparavant, ce mix a été enregistré en live à MUTEK Montréal en 2016, trois ans avant son départ soudain en août 2019.

Recco/ 3am Collective

Recco was born and raised in Queretaro, Mexico, where he got involved in the music scene in his early age. Determined to share his passion for music, Recco started to organize his own parties in his hometown. Quickly, he became well-known by local djs and people in the parties community. Thus, his desire to mix became undeniable.

Moving to Chicago in 1999, Recco forged relationships in the house music industry through some friends involved in the Chicago house’s scene. Recco drilled the Chicago music industry through regular gigs and opening of various local djs. Therefore, these 3 years in Chicago shaped his sound and his true passion for house music.

Back to Mexico, Recco positioned himself as an innovative and a ‹‹new force›› talent by playing his music in major nightclubs and warehouses parties in his hometown, Quérétaro. During his time in Mexico, Recco became a resident dj in nightclubs such as Roho and 4play and owned many appearances in Mexican cities like Mexico City and other citys close from his town.

In order to make a name for himself, Recco moved to Cancun where he had the opportunity to meet new challenges. He played in major nightclubs such as la Nectar Bar in Cancun, where he obtained a residency for more than 4 years.

Today, Recco still playing his signature deep house sound combined with rhythmic drums pattern and with a touch of deep groovy sound. He is dedicated to share and explore an underground sound in the Montréal’s club scene.

As a member of a Mexico based collective, 3 am Collective, Recco will keep sharing 
his own mission and of his collective which is to express the latest trends in house music.

Israel is only the executioner, every nation which has armed that country in the past year is an accessory to that genocide, an accomplice, a facilitator.  We cannot talk about war crimes because when you target unarmed civilians, mostly women and children, we are talking about a massacre, like terrorists do, not a war. The people who orchestrated that massacre, in the US, the most duplicitous, followed by those of the UK, Germany, France, and probably a few lesser ones should be tried for crimes against humanity just as well as Netanyahu and his cabinet, because it has been going on for two years, generously reported by media of all kinds, so the enablers knew exactly how the arms were to be used, as a tool for revenge, domination, and humiliation of the Palestinian people.  The conflict has ceased to be about the defense of anything for months.

The parties responsible have made a mockery of decency, morals, fairness, proportion, or justice, not to mention empathy.  Of what little there was, these concepts will be a lot longer to come back than they were to be struck down.

I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access.  Don't be mad if I have not replied to your message in the past two years, that's because I never got them ; ) ... You can always reach me here though.

You can't see it because of the angle with which I took the shot, aiming down, but beyond those blocks is the sea.  To the left is the Mediterranean, to the right is the Atlantic Ocean.  No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
