Lesson 4: Health

A person is looking for two things in a partner:

1. A man/woman who loves life, people, and himself.
2. A man/woman who is in wild, ceaseless pursuit of what he wants and believes in.

A Wolf + Garden man/woman is completely fulfilled in his life because he is going for what he wants at every moment, and is visualizing his success at every moment. He is simultaneously engorged by the reality which surrounds him. 

This healthy mixture of a calm contentment in where he is now and a wild ambition for where he will be tomorrow is so goddamn fucking attractive to women and anyone for that matter.

How Do I Live With Purpose?

We can get easily confused between the feeling of neediness or desire, and a sense of Purpose. 

Consider this:

Do you really want a hot, cool, funny girlfriend with whom you will fall in love? I’m going to argue right now that you don’t actually want that.

What I mean by that is neediness has no place in actually getting what you want. It doesn't really push itself. It doesn't really have goals in mind—and we think it does.

What it really has in mind is just a need to fill a hole. That's really all it does. So when we get confused and we tend to think that neediness is our wanting, is our excitement, is our attraction—it's actually not. All desire is, is the need to fill a void that we have.

Purpose is the Opposite of Neediness

In the garden of Presence, you are now sprouting new relationships and life opportunities and passions and interests. You are now living life for the first time. And the trade-off? Fuck. It’s so awesome that once you form the habit, you will never want to dwell in the office for one second longer than it ever needs to be.

Rely On Your Presence

Ahh... the beautiful chemistry of the mind.

We can just keep exploring further and further into its depths. It keeps creating and keeps retaining. It holds our fears and our excitement. It holds our love and our hate.

The untrained man has unhealthy beliefs:

1. He believes he lives inside his mind.
2. He believes his is a victim to his mind.

To the untrained man, the mind is a place in which to live and get lost. And wherever he ends up is where he must stay.
