Arcane 15 was founded by Maarten Ilegems in August 2019. 

He is an internationally known DJ/Producer/Singer/Songwriter from Antwerp/Belgium, known for his smooth, flawless mixing techniques and his original approach towards techno. His earlier project and alter ego Aorta already carried him around the globe in the past, performing at major clubs and festivals: Café D'Anvers-Antwerp, Belgium, Laundry Day-Antwerp, Belgium, Vooruit-Gent, Belgium, Food/Loop-Leuven, Belgium, DC 10- Ibiza, Berghain-Berlin, Boom Festival-Portugal, Dolphin Club-Tel-Aviv, Enlightenment-London, Fabric-London. Performing alongside some legendary acts including Sven Väth, Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Underworld, Green Velvet, Monika Krüse, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Der Dritte Raum, Scan-X. 

Therefore, he still is remaining a long-standing creative force in the ever-popular Belgium techno scene. In the month of October 2019, he started working with Tom Moons as a production partner. Due to the COVID period they kept on producing together in silence. In order to bring this everlasting silence to an end, Maarten decided to launch his own record label ANTWRX in January 2020 and introduced Arcane 15 to the general public. In May 2021 this cooperation came to an end and decided to continue their journeys separately. 

From this moment on Maarten teamed up with Christian Martinec in who he had found a partner and friend sharing the same vision about the future and music in general. Christian is a DJ/Producer from München/Germany known for his open mindset towards Techno and production skills. Between them they are currently crafting a new and unique sound that is surely to become Arcane 15 MK2. ANTWRX started off by releasing Arcane 15’s unique sound and got picked up by Techno lovin’ DJ’s, Producers, Promotors, Fanbases and Influencers from around the globe. Other international DJ’s and Producers who shared the same approach and vision about Techno joined in and teamed up with Maarten and ANTWRX. They represent a perfect mix of known and new talents from around the entire world representing ANTWRX such as: Javier Sande - Chili, James Monro – Brazil/UK, Arman Rosul- Bangladesh, Diego Ramos – Mexico, Martinec – Germany, Lavo – Argentina, Mika kitten – Japan, … and will be released from September 2021 on.

He has built a reputation in the Tel Aviv nightlife scene over the years and has had appearances in acclaimed stages in Berlin since relocating to the city several years ago. He was a resident of the Alphabet club for several years before it’s closing, and especially the queer party PAG regularly taking place in the Alphabet club.

David Daks - Neon Sin

This final track of the set is centered around a field recording captured with my 3-year-old son while we were hiking. He was hitting some unused water pipes lying by the trail with a wooden stick, giving the track its distinctly industrial, metallic sound.

This personal sample was loaded into the Make Noise Morphagene. When triggered, the Morphagene is set to begin playback at a slightly different starting point each time, ensuring the metallic rhythm remains evolving and unpredictable.

This was recorded as the final segment of the one-take performance. The audio received minimal mastering in Ableton (compressor and limiter) for this SoundCloud version, but the live performance is otherwise untouched.

There are few musicians who manage to explore the convergence between techno and experimental as successfully as David Letellier.
Known as Kangding Ray, he has been producing for almost a decade, releasing his music exclusively on Raster-Noton and Stroboscopic Artefacts.
The aesthetic domains of these two labels epitomizes Kangding Ray’s complex sound—it’s an aesthetic that tests boundaries, evolving tirelessly in its exploration of texture, rhythm, and sound design.
Letellier’s foundations in rock and musique concrete give his music a vitality and uniqueness that has won fans the world over, from discerning avant-garde–electronica listeners, all the way to devoted clubbers.
KR has also been known for remixing artists such as Battles on Warp, Ben Frost on Mute, or Inigo Kennedy on Token.
Those who have been following Letellier since his debut album, 2006’s Stabil, will recognize not only his meticulous and constantly developing approach to sound design, but also the conceptual gravity behind his releases.
Through a string of recent EP’s and albums, culminating with the critically acclaimed “Solens Arc”, KR showed his ability to keep his artistic approach while delivering direct and powerful club-leaning tracks and darkly cinematic soundscapes. On 2015’s “Cory Arcane”, he pushed the limits of his sound even further, relinquishing standard rhythmic structures and conventional tonal models, he delivered what is perhaps his most sophisticated release yet; a raw and visceral universe, allowing a more fluid dialogue between soul and machines.
The forthcoming “HYPER OPAL MANTIS” for Stroboscopic Artefacts opens a new era for Kangding Ray, where he will explore the tension between the natural and artificial, the body and mind, which are central themes in electronic music in general, and Techno in particular. The means of creation, focused around technology and interactions with machines, contrast with the emotional response to sound, the mystical ritual of collective dancing, and the ethos of liberation and tolerance embedded in the culture it has produced.
As he describes it himself in a recent interview : “I’ve been evolving since a couple of years at the outer fringes of the club culture, where it overlaps with different experimental and avant-garde genres. While i entend to continue to explore that zone as a free maverick, i also wanted to give something back to the scene, something strong, beautiful and functional at the same time, while retaining enough personality to be exciting.”
