Berlin’s hard-hitting maestro Amotik, real name Anil Chawla, is our guest this week for a two-hour leg of unremittingly rough-on-the-heart sonic aggression. At the helm of his own eponymous record label, Chawla has been serving up some of the most corrosive, jaw-breaking, knee-buckling material in the field of industrial techno, one you can definitely rely on when in need for a full mental reset, but also some of the most intriguing beatless, ambient-friendly gems at times. More regularly dishing out trampling kicks by the dozen, and as many snare uppercuts in near subliminal fashion so much your ears are filled to the brim with that thick and oily assembly-line thunder, Amotik drags us by the feet straight into the furnace. Fuse resident and Metropolis co-founder Altinbas is quickly emerging from the ever so interesting and fast developing Brussels’ scene from which he is actively part of since 2013 through organizing his own parties. Honing his skills for years, he is renowned for his craftmanship both as a DJ and a producer. Releases on acclaimed labels like Token, SK11 and Non Series are a proof of his high quality musical output and authentic producing style with researched and sculpted sound design on top of impactful and toxic grooves. His music found its place in the sets of the most revered DJ’s since his first release in 2015 (Float Records). 

As a DJ, Altinbas has a way of creating true journeys through carefully selecting cuts and layering them in an interesting manner, mixing compelling elements of each track on the decks to build new dynamics between them, forming a high energy experience with an ever-present underlying story telling by building different emotional phases. 

His new label Observer Station, home to his own creations opened a way for him to release music without any external constraints and keep exploring new grounds, soothing his musical curiosity without letting go of the more traditional function of dance music.

In the early 90s, techno hits Japan. Surprised and intrigued, Takaaki Itoh was impressed with this sound. This unique style of beats revealed the gateway to a world of underground music in Japan, something he had never heard before.
Surprise slowly gave way to addiction when Takaaki Itoh heard the sound of such artists like UR, Derrick May, Axis, Hardfloor, Sven Väth, Harthouse, Warp and Rising High. 
Finding out he just couldn't get enough of it, in 1994 Takaaki Itoh began to organise his own techno parties in Norioka Iwate, having success by providing fantastic line ups.

In 1996, he decided that it was time to start making his own tracks, so he went out, purchased the vital instruments and began producing. 
After sending out 3 finished tracks to various labels, Electracom UK made the first contact with him, and followed to release his first track. This moment was something he will never forget, as for the first time in his life he was able to finally release his own record. 
Then several releases followed and he began to appear in DJ charts and magazines all over the world.

Takaaki Itoh's Japanese style of techno is purely unique, underground and nothing that had been heard before in Europe. 
In a couple of years, he became recognized as the most underground and expected japanese Techno DJ.
Takaaki Itoh has now taken the next step and started his own label Wols, whilst keep playing in great venues wolrdwide.
