Joline Scheffler is a deep techno artist based in Åre, Sweden and one of the driving spirits behind the techno collective and event series ”Mötet”.
Joline explores the rhythmic, hypnotic and atmospheric sides of techno, giving the listener dynamic, well displayed sets of true presence, balanced rawness and contagious energy.

She’s releasing her EP Equilibrium 30/6 on the Madrid based label SUB:tl.

Spring is here and with it comes a fresh installment in the PAX-Series. For our march edition we have a mix by @samo-rane, a multi disciplined musician based in Berlin.

You might have seen him on line ups at “Art Bei Ton” events, where he is a resident Dj. But Samo Rane does so much more than Djing, he is also an electronic music producer and mastering engineer with a preference for ambient and techno music.

Being based in Berlin was not fully by choice however, in 2016 the Iranian unfortunately had to leave his home country and flee to Berlin, where he has been working and living since then. Samo has been using his musical talents and his work to express his political convictions. He runs a collective record label and podcast “mercyTechno” where he collects donations for artists and refugees and appeals against violence and discrimination in any form. In February he released his EP titled “Aliveness” on the label, again using his music to support refugees. We highly recommend you check it out, it showcases twisted dark sounds and his affinity for sound design and mastering really shines through.

Then onto the mix, it is a crazy 2 hour ride fizzing with energy that sucks you in and won't let you go. It's dark, unrelenting, very hypnotic but with moments of melancholy and euphoria, holding your attention and making you long for those dark nights from before, and those that are yet to come…

Exos is an artist with loads of experience: he has put out more than twenty vinyl records and four albums since he debuted at age 17. He has described Iceland, and the island’s raw and untouched nature, as the inspiration for the energy of his music. Exos always seem to surprise his listeners with his atmospheric electronics. Moving freely in the flux of unpredictable creativity and constant wide spreading interests, Elisa has been mixing for over 15 years, beginning in her native Sardinia before moving to Milan. Her own productions have been much welcomed by international audiences and artists alike, gaining considerable airplay both on the dancefloor and on the radio. More recently Elisa’s releases have delved into techno and 90s UK rave sounds, with her love for acid driving her exploration.

Pär Grindvik joins for DifferentSound Podcast #126.

Pär Grindvik has been a central figure in the Swedish electronic scene since the 90s as record store owner, label manager and producer. In his artistic career Pär has released music across a plethora of acclaimed electronic labels, including a string of hits on his own Stockholm LTD imprint as well as Drumcode, with frequent collaborator Hardcell. Pär’s recent output has seen him contribute music to labels such as Semantica, Marbacka, Sinister and Dystopian. Founded in 2002, Stockholm LTD began as an outlet for singles and EPs from Swedish artists with a focus on releasing timeless electronic music. It has since developed into a hallmark for finely crafted electronic music from a range of international artists. Pär continues to serve as one of the most exciting and hardworking contributors to the scene. Every inch of Pär’s work, including labels, artwork, release info and music, is wrapped with heart and emotion, a quality which keeps the sparkle and curiosity alive within the ever changing adaptations of the artistic world.

Fresh off the release of his anticipated debut full-length, “Derealization”, issued a few weeks ago on Ego Death, Detroit-based producer Uun clocks in our podcast series to deliver some of his vehemently rugged and dark gospel, and to which effect! With a number of choice releases under his belt for some of the most highly-regarded techno labels out there (MORD, Semantica, Modularz…), Uun is one to indulge in the harsher, choppier side of industrial rhythms, more keen on point-blank bazooka hits than long-distance minimal sniper-ism if he where to choose a side. His RYC mix features the very brain-melting character of his compositions and we’re delighted to count him on board. Innocent souls beware, expect a hail of roaring steel and molten iron all along the way.

This three-hour raging techno set guided the audience to the most intense and deeper world in the otherworldly main floor of “New Acao”, a gorgeous Showa-era building overlooking the sea.

Born 1966, I fell in love with music when I was a five year old, where the summer of 1971 was plagued with the infectious synth lead of Pop Corn by the French cover group Hot Butter, and their interpretation of Gershon Kingsley's original from 1969. I've been DJing and arranging parties since 1979. 

Affiliated with NEMCOM [Norrköping Electronic Music Community, Est. 2002, Reg. 2003], for 16 years, as an artist firstly, then arranging numerous of events with two-figure number of event concepts/formats, and three-figure number guest artists through the years. Development of local DJs and artists is also a core activity in our community and association, taking place in our local #NKPGLearnSpace by NEMCOM.
