Mython is a Berlin based Techno producer and DJ. His focus lies on the dark and heavy side of techno. Hypnotic patterns and hard hitting kick drums are at the core of his sound. His main goal is to capture the dirty and gritty underground vibes of Techno and push the sound towards the perfect symbiosis of melancholy and pure energy. In 2020 Mython founded ‘Out Rage Records’ to promote the sound he likes to play and hear. Tirelessly pushing the boundaries of techno as we know it, the British don has been carving out his name in gold letters amongst the pantheon of DJs capable to evolve and transcend both themselves and their audience through the cathartic power of music. Always a step ahead, Bicknell treats us to two hours of resolutely immersive and achingly powerful soul-search, seamlessly criss-crossing our brains with his top-of-the-range anti-bullshit techno medicine. This year, the spanish techno legend Oscar Mulero will return to the stage at rural, and we are happy to share the recording of his closing set at “rural at New Acao” in 2022.

This three-hour raging techno set guided the audience to the most intense and deeper world in the otherworldly main floor of “New Acao”, a gorgeous Showa-era building overlooking the sea.

Hailing from Belgium, Border One has amassed an irrefutable reputation in his home country and beyond since the release of his first 12-inch record in 2015. Between a fascination for sound discovery through the use of his modular synthesizer and his loyalty to the classic club rhythms, Border One’s style serves as a swiss-army knife for promoters and DJ’s on an international level. 
With a self description expressing a priority to make the crowd move, his music does not fall short of its intention. Forward thinking in its conception rendered highly functional in its implementation, Border One’s music finds middle ground in an increasingly polarized musical climate for the genre; whether it be through his selection as a DJ or his technicality as a producer. Considering this, his release catalogue seems only appropriate. He has released EP’s on Knowledge Imprint, Setaoc Masse’s SK-X, his own Border One Records, Freddy K’s KEY vinyl imprint, and the infamous Token Records to name a few.

From faux-tribal polyrhythmic evocations to future-facing hi-tech stunts, through nods to heavy-lidded machine funk and the Detroit sound's trademark blend of rough-hewn firepower and ebullient sensuality.
