Giulia Fournier-Mercadante (GiGi FM) is a multi-disciplinary artist, DJ, resident of NTS Radio, dancer and music producer. Boldly versatile, GiGi FM’s selections have charmed bodies on dancefloors all across the world, such as Berghain, Rural Japan, Draaimolen, Fabric, De School, Primavera, The Bunker New York, and Sustain Release. In the booth her genre-defying spirit is in full effect with techno, bass, breaks and ambient all coming in to play.

Deeply influenced by astrology, philosophy and the cosmos; for GiGi, music is both a tool for expression and introspection. As a multi- hyphenate artist, she continues on her quest to push artistic boundaries and hold space for unique audience experiences. Whatever medium she may adopt, the result is a rich embodiment of the interconnectedness of sound, colour, movement and metaphysics.

A surefire provider of deep, complex weapons for the dance floor and beyond, French-born, Berlin-based artist Kangding Ray has been minting some of the most strikingly unique techno records in recent memory. His body of work for some of the most reputed record labels out there, including Raster Noton, Stroboscopic Artefacts and his own outlet, ara, cuts an introspective path, halfway modular-leaning escapology and beat-driven abstraction. From his background in architecture, his musical approach retains that fondness for structure and the creation, or re-creation of space, both as an actual object and a mental projection. London-based DJ and producer Ammara has broken through with a high-tempo, rave-ready sound that combines elements of hard house, trance, techno, and pop melodies. With releases on Ministry of Sound and Speedmaster Records—and having been named a Radio 1 Future Star—Ammara is one of the most exciting new talents in dance music right now.

Born in the UK but raised in Spain, Ammara’s return to Britain as a teenager sparked a dance music obsession. “I’d go to the Junction in Cambridge weekly with my friends,” she recalls. “And see all the big drum ‘n’ bass DJs. That really sparked something in me.”

Moving to London in her late teens to study acting, Ammara immersed herself in the city’s club culture, heading to Fabric every weekend and exploring a wide range of electronic music sounds. Her acting studies paid off with a coveted role at the Globe Theatre, but juggling an acting career with her growing interest in DJing and producing soon led to a turning point. “I was doing well in the play but then we had two weeks off and I went to Ibiza partying,” she explains. “I loved acting and being in the play, but I just knew deep down that music was what I really wanted to do.”

Determined to hone her production and DJing skills, her career took a steep upward curve when she sent her track “Acid Fantasy” to Patrick Topping in 2020. The track was signed by his label Trick, and in 2021 the “Acid Fantasy” EP was released. In 2022, she dropped the tough and uncompromising “Techno Tree” with Will Clarke, and 2023 saw her unleash the single “Honey Child,” which even featured a remix from her hard house heroes, Klubbheads.

Guest Mix: Ammara

Having made a name for himself through a string of choice releases for the likes of Nous’klaer and Delsin, Dutch producer Konduku has been turning heads with his ever innovative take on the techno medium. Pushing for new directions, Konduku’s been laying down intriguing blends of dubbed-out, Afro-infused grooves and plural strains of abstract-leaning, breaks-friendly hybrids. The present mix showcases the breadth of his influences and essential components, extrapolating techno’s genre-transcending nature through a fine mix of heavily verbed-out electronics and shape-shifting buildup, never quite going where you’d expect it, rather seeking the excitement of suspenseful arcs and unsuspected developments. Bold as it should.

@fadimohem is right at the heart of contemporary techno. He brings his own twist on the classic sound - deep, rhythmic and atmospheric. He's a Berghain resident whose first contact with the genre came at the hallowed club, and since then, he has blazed his own trail on the most influential labels in the scene, including his own Mohem imprint. This year, he plays twice at Dekmantel Festival, once as part of WSNWG Live and once on the Radar stage.

Ahead of that, he has put together an exclusive one-hour live set comprised only of unreleased music. It's a masterclass in control that embodies just what you get from Fadi in the club: deep techno planted firmly on the floor but always going somewhere. As dubbed out low ends, glitchy textures and more tripped out melodies come and go, the tension ramps up while both body and mind stay locked.
